  • It looks like Ophis and Moonstone both got exceptional successes on Wisdom contain rolls. Does that have any particular effect?

    • I looked it up when it happened to me, it doesn't seem to.

EDIT: Oh, crap! I didn't realize Moonstone was so batered. This turn I'll patch him up.

      • It'd be appreciated! I forgot Ophis had Life. I was planning to cast Dream Reaching on myself next turn and slip into lucid unconsciousness to do some thinking in the dreamspace.

        • It's actually what he is best at, being a Disciple, plus he is a doctor after all. You'll be fine

Nope, I don't see any rule about that. But at least you didn't summon an Abyssal environment tilt?

Also, nice job with Choose the Thread. I was excited to make someone nearly fall unconscious here, but you narrowly avoided it, haha. FYI, you are at -3 wound penalty now instead of -2 (at least until you heal), but that does not appear to affect any of your rolls in your most recent post.

            • Ok, this took a rather dark turn. The implication is that somebody purposely gave the family an artifact to cause this all for some purpose. Methinks we have a Reaper on our hands.

              • Had a busy weekend but I have a fair chunk of free time tonight, I'll post then at the latest if I don't have time to during the day.

Haberdasher - You can still take your action before my post if you have time.

                • I'm still around, just IRL's got me in a rut (again. Woo) and waiting for my turn to come around.

                  • Haberdasher - Can you clarify your roll for me? Your math shows a dice pool of 4, you stated that it was a pool of 3, but it looks like you rolled 4 dice overall.

                    I believe it should be Gnosis (1) + Space (1) + Yantra (1) - Spell factors (-2) - Abyssal Tilt penalty (-1) + Willpower (3) = 3 dice total. Is that correct?

If so, that success on your Orokos roll is actually a failure. Which means...

                    • rwknoll So what happened is, I miscounted my "initial" dice pool and thought I had only three dice, but then on Orokos I remembered my willpower gave me three dice, rather than two, which is where the written 3 dice came from. So I added another dice on Orokos to reflect that, but didn't update my written dice pool. But I still forgot the Abyssal Tilt. So yes, the original 3 dice was inadvertently correct.

                      • Thorbes - Moonstone has 3 lethal and 3 bashing damage. Unfortunately all of the bashing is resistant damage from Paradox, so it cannot be healed. I'm not sure if Ophis would know that yet based on personal experience, but I have no issue with you as a player choosing a different benefit based on OOC knowledge of how resistant damage works.

I knew some of it ought to be Resistant, but I couldn't remeber how much. Fair enough. Then maybe some sort of beneficial Condition? Either on Moonstone or Ophis, your choice.

                              • rwknoll Kvitebjørn Kong Valemon I think since Ragnar was trying to cast Ground-Eater on himself AND Lynx, they're BOTH affected by the Tilt until Ragnar actually gets a Space spell off. I'm definitely imagining that scene from Doctor Strange with the treadmill floor.
