So, while I know IC, many of the conspiracy members want to avoid all out war, but I want to feel out what people want OOC. Do we want the Blessed Isle to break out into war?

I like the idea of Conspiracy members being on separate sides of the conflict and scheming together bring about their desired outcome.

I like the idea of open conflict at some point - and an actual war will force Aisa to compromise, and compromise, and compromise until finally she's forced to wonder what she's even fighting for. And if she does end up becoming empress, it's atop a pile of shattered corpses and broken ideals.

Imagining the flow of the game, I think of half a year of buildup / everyone getting established, then Aisa having an open break with Mnemon. Half a year of growing tension, then at the end of the first year, Aisa openly announcing herself at Empress - which naturally results in immediate civil war. Half a year of war, then a resolution of some sort. Half a year of dealing with the new regime, then we're at the two year mark of your original proposal. Obviously things shouldn't be so tidy, but that's my mental roadmap.

My original plan is to let people build up for 6 -8 months. Then have some NPCs do their things. Things may get uncomfortable for a few characters. Ideally, I'd like conspiracy members to be on various sides of the upcoming conflict, so PCs may have to do things they don't like and maybe betray some of the NPCs.

I am going to try to scale back the rolls on your complications. I think I got into table top ST mode. I ended up running scenes instead of just letting you write your letter. You guys are getting good at coming up with your own trouble. Less rolls means less messages and less delays and more writing time.
