    Scout's Azoth drew Mark 5's attention away for a split-second after handing the codes over to the blue-skinned Nepri. "He will draw attention. They had Pandorans. They might have more. We need to be quick."
    Then he looked the Nepri straight in the eyes: "I need to learn about... impurity. Flaws. But not now. We will have words later. First: the Mission."

    As he stepped outside the elevator, the Titan started charding pyros again.
    The time for hiding would soon be over. It would be time to do battle. One last time, he would prove he was a Soldier, his Iron tested and true. He told the others without turning around "The fighting will start soon. Get ready."

      "I... cannot be sure, but I think they have something else. It is an Azoth so pure... no torment, no flux. Just pure, refined Azoth. I... think it may be an Angel."

      Earth looks all dreamy. Happy, even. It's like crush+bliss+pilgrim's desire to see a sacred icon up close. "It is. I saw her. She's still here?"

      Mark sez: "The fighting will start soon. Get ready."

      Earth ruminates: "For you, yeah."

      It's weird.

      The Hermit brushes past the polo shirts and points down the hallway Scout indicated.

      "Take a look, Satin."

      With the raven scouting the route and a taser close at hand, Earth trudges ahead with the others toward the Flames.

        Still shaking from the violence of his sudden decision to rescue Adonis, Erwin jerks back unconsciously, keeping his hands still just slightly slick with acid as far away from his boyfriend as he can reasonably get and still maintain contact. He gestures back over his shoulder into the hallway as Dr. Roman coughs and lets out low moans of pain on the floor, trying to right himself. "There's a, uh, breaker box down the hallway in the maintenance closet." He picks up a massive brown paper bag and passes it to Adonis. The bag smoulders just a little, but it seems like the acid flow has stopped for now. "I got your things." It sounded like such an inane, domestic thing to say, that Erwin had to stifle back a laugh. "Come on, let's go." He steps towards the door and takes a look as half a dozen employees in polo shirts, and a couple people in riot gear like at the Forks (possibly the same people) storming down the hall, followed by shuffling, misshapen, skittering things snarling, hissing, ragged, gasping for breath. Claws and... other things... raking at the doorway as a thing or two snuffles.

        The silver raven that is Satin flew forwards and down the hall, eyes scanning back and forth as Earth, looking every bit the generic employee, simply walked on through. The employees gawked at Mark 5, Scout and the others, however, pressing panic buttons on company wristbands and starting to make a run for the nearest intercom, but the staff trip over each other and collapse in a heap, stumbling back to their feet to either make a run to find actual help- if they can make it. Satin quorks with alarm at what she sees coming down the hall.

        "Unborn!"

        OOC: Caladriu ArchonAres Wormwood any of you can roll a Down and Dirty combat roll to neutralize the employees and make sure they don't immediately alert someone more dangerous than them. As they've failed even a single success will handle it, but multiple people can roll if you want to have it as multiple characters working together.

          Now that they no longer needed to stay hidden, Mark 5 could cut loose and move at full speed.
          It would have been easy to take these people out once and for all - the tools were at his hands. But he remembered the last time he fought human beings.
          He remembered the blood on his hands.
          These people were no threat, they posed no challenge. They were a speed bumper, at best.
          As Adonis once said, what felt like so long ago: . I don't think he knows what was in those tubes and stuff. He thinks he's just working for a chemical company.
          This probably applied to these people, too. So he tried to be careful about sending them down. Deal just a blow with enough force to knock them out, no more, then go for the next one. Rinse and repeat.

            Adonis takes the bag and quickly dresses again. He peeks out the door, and then pulls his head back when he sees the Unborn. "Okay, those things following the humans. Those are Pandorans. Stay far, far away from them." But then he furrows his brow. "Wait, they aren't trying to eat the humans. Amalgama must have some way of controlling them. Well, doesn't matter. They see us, we're toast. Here, give me your lab coat. If I don't draw attention to myself, humans have a hard time noticing me."

            Adonis creeps out of the door and down the hallway to the maintenance, trying to be as silent as possible.

            Dexterity 2 + Stealth 1 = 3 dice -> 0 successes. Let's just hope the -2 to the roll to notice him helps.

              Fight's coming. Earth turns to the melee and gears up, ready to break faces. But...

              Why?

              These humans aren't a threat. Most humans aren't. Earth knows this.

              The ones in hard shells at the Circle were. These ones are with them. Maybe they hide sharp teeth, too.

              Or maybe they don't.

              It looks like Mark 5 can handle it himself. Earth hesitates, then turns back. It will be fine without them. The world passes the Hermit by.

              Unborn down the tunnel- er, hallway. Different fight. Will the others be okay again?

              Maybe.

              Earth goes further down the hallway incognito, looking for Adonis and Erwin. There's another Mission to attend to.

                Scout smelled the sour pandorans coming up and slipped into one of the offices as quietly as he could, tugging at Scarlet as he did so. Whether or not she followed was her problem, but he wasn't up for that fight. It hurt bad enough last time. This was a job for... someone else. If the others were fast enough, the pandorans would bypass them and go towards the false trail he'd laid.

                Scout is going to slip off into a side room if he can.

                  Sneaking down the hallway, walking briskly but confidently, is Erwin in his button-down shirt and Adonis holding a lab coat tight to himself as a form of camouflage. Somewhere further up ahead, a lone alchemist in a dishevelled suit pauses, looking around, a Pandoran at their heel, the skittering, many-limbed, glistening thing letting out a couple wheezing gasps. Its flowing, waxy flesh balloons with each sucking breath, causing it to bob in place. The alchemist scans the area and makes eye contact with the Muse as he glances backwards, eyes widening in shock and just barely suppressing a shudder. "Hey! Wait!" He starts running towards him, the Pandorn loping leisurely at his side "Stop!"

                  Walking unhindered down the hall is Earth, whose flesh warps and ripples subtly every so often, a tremulous shudder like a shiver, adjusting ever so slightly as the nearby group shifts and changes, maintaining the illusion of normalcy based on the given population. The Unborn tilt their heads as they pass, but they are bound to the will of their masters, who are themselves fooled by the subtle alchemy. Satin flies overhead, close to the ceiling, certainly not where the alchemists expect to find a Created. Scout and Scarlet duck into an office, hearing rushing feet and skittering limbs slapping along tiles floors. Scarlet's face is enraptured, peering out of the window of the office door, waiting to see the mayhem unfold.

                  Meanwhile, Mark 5 cuts loose against the hopelessly outmatched employees, moving in a blur, one punch, one employee hits the floor, or flies back into the wall. The Titan's superhuman strength is overwhelming, iron mauls swung with the strength to shatter stone hurling human bodies aside with ease, leaving them in (still-breathing) heaps on the floor. Their breathing is laboured, but they are still alive. Solomon gives an appreciative nod, his gaze still ahead, studying the armoured humans and shambling Unborn racing towards them "Well, let's give them a show, shall we?"

                  ​OOC: Wormwood gain a Beat from the Exceptional Success and roll for Initiative. There are three Amalgama mercenaries, and six Pandorans.

                          +5 for 11 total, but I'd actually like to indulge Scout's torment and introspective conditions with having him not act for at least a round, and have him observe the Pandorans.

                            An alchemist charges towards Adonis, a loping Pandoran at their side loping with limbs that are little more than bones supporting extruded muscle fibres, beady black eyes peeking out from crevices and holes in its washed out flesh-toned skin. Erwin reacts, swinging an arm like lobbing a baseball, a greenish slick of acid flying towards his coworker's face, the other alchemist screams, clothing smoking and burning as the alchemist doubles over from pain, skin of the hands starting to slough off as they try to save what is left of their vision. The Pandoran leaps at Erwin after a screamed command of its master, knotted limbs extended, claws of shattered bone scoring into his torso, burrowing into his abdomen. Erwin's breath rushes from his body, blood spattering the tiled floor, toppling to the floor, just barely able to keep the Unborn's barbed tongue from his face, the slop of its muscle fibres starting to entwine itself into his arms.

                            OOC: Alchemist 1- Health (LLLL000) Defense (1 due to the Blinded Tilt) Tilts (Blinded, Beaten Down) Erwin- Health (LLLL000) Tilts (Beaten Down) Fibrous Unborn- Health (6) Defense (8, but currently doesn't apply since it's grappling Erwin) Initiative (10)

                            Just as an aside, note that this pretty much takes Erwin out of the fight. He hasn't spent any Willpower yet, so he has potentially another six violent actions left in him, which would include any attempts to break free of the Pandoran next turn.


                            Unheeded, ignored, Earth walks unmolested down the hall. Scout and Scarlet wait behind an office door, Scout waiting strategically, Scarlet looking with rapt attention at the spreading conflict. Her fingers twitch, she wants to get out there and work some alchemy, but will not act without the go ahead from Scout.

                            OOC: ArchonAres Scout gains a Beat from Tormented, for causing a problem for the Throng, and a Beat from Introspected, for taking time to plan when action would be more appropriate.

                            Meanwhile, three alchemically armed thugs and five Pandorans race towards Solomon and Mark 5. The Titan braces for action, but the blue-skinned Nepri acts first, his Disfigurements flaring, showing off sunken skin and flooding the room with the somber scent of myrrh and natron. He reaches towards an alchemist and taps the side of their helmeted skull ever so slightly, and the alchemist's legs fall out from under them, leaving them slack and mouth open in a silent scream on the floor. Their Unborn turns, snarling, and slithers back towards Earth, a clear substance like alcohol slicking the floor as the tangled mass of spinal column and intestines moves with surprising speed. Another armoured alchemist flares with Divine Fire and lashes out with a fist at Solomon, driving him backwards a little, but he does not fall. A Pandoran resembling a fleshy scarab made from a human skull, covered in glossy black chitin lunges for his foot, human teeth biting incessantly, and misses. The third thug and their Unborn servants turn towards Mark 5. The alchemist hefts a shotgun, but is too slow- the Titan will get to him first.

                            OOC: Solomon- Health (LL00000) Defense (4) Initiative (12) Thug 1- Health (B0000000) Defense (5) Tilts (Insensate.                               Mark 5 registered what Solomon did, and would later be quite curious about it, but for now was focused on the Battle. He decided that taking out the Pandorans as quickly as possible was the best to do, and flung himself at the Fibrous Unborn, swinging his mighty fists, intent on ripping it apart, but leaving himself open in turn.

                              Str+Brw+2(All-Out)-8 = 6 dice - 2 Successes

                                Earth makes a break for the nearest door and slams it shut behind them, hopefully before the spine snake slithers through.

                                Trying to create a barrier between Earth and the spine snake while advancing through the facility, closer to the prisoners. Dexterity+Athletics+Willpower, 7 dice: a respectable 6 successes! Maybe Earth stumbles into an interesting room or finds a shortcut?
