  • Feel free to gush.

Vent and Gush are the new hate/love threads, I guess. Let's keep the politics out of this one as well.

To get us started, I don't think I've ever mentioned how lucky I am with how pleasant my journey so far into transitioning has gone, socially speaking. There are parts of Colorado that aren't the friendliest on the subject, and I happen to live in one city you would really expect to be unfriendly-but I've never really gotten any guff or confrontations about. Most people have actually been not only accepting of it, but rather complimentary. Sure, some people are upset, but they keep it to themselves. I've also got some great friends who provide me lots of encouragment and advice, and while my family doesn't really approve, they've nevertheless have also been free with advice and gifts that's been legitimately helpful. I was really expecting to run into a lot of problems, and I'm not writing it off as a possibility, but I really appreciate how smooth it's been.

I love watching news reel and movie bloopers when I have free time or humorous content on bad movies that are more enjoyable then the movie itself and you just want to watch just to see how awful it truly is out of curiousity.

Colm McGuinness' rendition of "Sixeen Tons" has been stuck in my head all week, and I'm not even mad. It's a catchy tune.

I make Legacies when I'm bored. They're of middling quality, but have a look if you're interested. Advice and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Can I take a minute to enjoy how good darkest dungeon is? I found it on my girlfriends steam account and just lost half a day to it. Complete game, game atmosphere and I'm beginning to get real suspicious about what exactly is waiting in that darkest dungeon...

Turning in final drafts and feeling pleased about them remains one of the best feelings. Been a while since it happened and just had several go off all at once.

                  Sunshine!
At risk of being melodramatic in a way that will embarrass me when the high wears off - I don't remember the last time I got to just exist in the presence of actual unfiltered sunlight where the sky wasn't grey and the world had actual colour in it. I just wasted an hour lying in a pile with the household fuzzballs (cats) soaking up the sun and feeling some of my seasonal depression lift. Winter's almost over, thank fuck.

Nestlé wouldn't be out of place as a Captain Planet villain, but man are KitKats good. Got some interesting flavors in Japan.

Captain Planet was such pure 1990’s camp. But I was more into Beast Wars Transformers and the Buffy and Angel series.

Its half one and I just spent 2 hours reading Occult and folklore books in a 24 hour library. Reading in such a context has been a strange delight.

Fresh food and lots of it; got to the pantry last Saturday and found pallets of fresh-produce, sitting outside the drive-in refrigerator; look inside the fridge; packed full of pallets already of fresh-produce. It's really nice, but I really haven't bought food with my own money, for years now. (It's also a bad thing because we got lots of desserts donated too).

I never heard of a 24-hour library, but there are a few university-libraries near me that I like to go to, to read books I can't normally find in a city or county public-library.
