I'm hesitant to try the second season of Wheel of Time for that reason. The end of the first season, plus stuff the showrunner has said... don't inspire confidence. Which is a pity, 'cuz the acting, sets, and costumes were great, just not the script.

I'm really excited about tonight and tomorrow. Hubby and I are going to have some mutual friends of ours come by and stay at our place for the weekend. We'll be playing a Classic Masquerade game I'm gonna be the ST for, maybe do a movie marathon, and also do some other things.

It hasn't been a good time seeing some of our beloved properties getting turned into things that they were not meant to be or go against the lore of the series. But maybe the tide is changing with stuff like One Piece being done with the creator being heavily involved and that the crew are fans of the material and want to it right or even the recent Mario Bros animated movie that people seemed to enjoy.

At last some nice cool and breezy weather to start this week from all the wildfires and heatwaves we have been enduring all this summer and maybe we can get some nice and much needed rain. But British Columbia needs it more then we do.

Happy that I found volume 2 of Full Metal Alchemist today and watched Space Ice's review of Jean Claude Van Dam Hard Target. I also learned that it's possible that Christopher Nolan might be directing the next Bond movie and I hope it's true.
