Paradox Interactive, developers of the excellent Pillars of Eternity, have acquired the White Wolf properties from CCP. That includes Exalted, right?
Note that they are publishers, not Developers. Obsidian made Pillars of Eternity.

Nah, Onyx Path Publishing licensed the right to make WoD and Exalted products from CCP, OPP doesn't own them afaik.

Well, the good news is that the new CEO of White Wolf has a meme-ready portrait in case everything goes to hell, available in this article on the sale. If I remember correctly, the Onyx Path owns Trinity and Scion outright, but they only licensed WoD and Exalted. As far as I know, how long those licenses might last is not public knowledge. It'll be interesting to see what happens next!

I'm a big fan of Paradox's games, so I suppose there are worse fates for the line.

Huh, wonder what this means for Onyx Path going forwards. Presumably the existing OP licensing agreements still hold.

I'll wait for a statement from The Onyx Path, before deciding whether this is good new or not. Depending on the exact licence they have to create World of Darkness and Exalted books, Paradox could for example revoke their licence, which would be a real shame.

This is either the most amusing or the most frightening thing I have read on the internet all week.

We knew this deal was brewing, but can't talk about it right now.

As far as I know, this includes all White Wolf games still owned by CCP, including both Worlds of Darkness and Exalted. It does not include White Wolf games now owned by other people, such as Scion, Trinity, and Scarred Lands.

Ooookay, how does this interact with the license rights OPP has?

Well, this may be good or bad.yeah.

Although I can't help wonder if in a future Expansion, one of the Karlings gets Vamped or something...

And I know for a fact that Ivory Claws will go mental upon being subjected to the Eugenics programs good Crusader Kings players set up.

Mount & Blade comes from TaleWorlds Entertainment, not from paradox.
