Realms of Pugmire 2E will be the first Onyx Path Kickstarter in the late January of 2023! They already include new rules for Dogs, Cats and Rodents right away. 😎 #RoP2E

Well, you've kept your record for inaccurately reporting information, Wyrdhamster.

There aren't "new rules for dogs, cats, and rodents." It's a new edition, which means, yes, there are new rules. And yes, you will be able to emulate cats and rodents in the core rulebook. But that's not the same thing as "new rules for dogs, cats, and rodents" -- those will come (ideally) in subsequent books.

I encourage folks who are interested in accurate information to check out theonyxpath.com, and further announcements coming from me!

First official blog post on RoP 2E is about... THAT 2E will not steal your 1E books - and 2E will have Appendix on coversion of 1E materials to use with newer edition. Also, it's hinted that RoP quasi D&D game engine could be used in future games of Onyx Path. 😎

In today's blog post Eddy talks about new random generation of Pugmire characters in RoP 2E.

From yesterdays quick chat on Discord - Spellcasting - Spell Slots become Spell Points ( finally! ) and new spells have various powers levels, defencing from what spell level you cast them. Also, there will be added resurrection-type spell 'Second Chance'. No canonical implication for Church of Man if it's 'miracle sent from Men to Good Dogs' - or anything like it.

Biggest rules change I see in the RoP 2E Preview 1 are changes to Attributes. Other changes are seems to be lesser than those. ( At least in Character Creation chapter )

Each attribute ranges from -3 to +5. They are as follows:
• Agility: Physical coordination and dexterity.
• Might: Brute strength and the ability to apply physical force.
• Vitality: Overall hardiness and resistance to pain.
• Cunning: Wit, wisdom, and common sense.
• Intellect: Mental skill and knowledge.
• Presence: Social awareness and personality.

Design Dairy from Eddy - Converting from Realms of Pugmire 1E to RoP2E - meaning for Pugmire, Monarchies of Mau, Squeaks in the Deep - is VERY simple. Major changes from 1E:
• Attributes are now only modifiers -3 to +5 - no full stats from 3 to 20
• All Species can choose all Callings if the Guide agrees - Cat Artisan, Dog Minister, etc.
• More Skills are pinned to Charisma / Presence - thus this Attribute becomes not only the 'beauty' of the character, but the understanding of social interactions - as well as resistances to them.

We have Guide Screen for the Realms 2E at 35k! Looking for next Strech Goals!

We have $41k in the crowdfunding! Unlocked the Guide Screen and jumpstart (starting adventure with ready characters). The nearest Strech Goals are wallpapers with game graphics and a set of VTT tokens for the new edition. In an interview, Eddy Webb mentioned that he wants to fund official support for Realms of Pugmire on Roll20 as well. (Not included in crowdfunding goals yet.)
