  • How do Resplendent Destinies work with people who're immune to Arcane Fate? Does a Sidereal's secretary still perceive her as the same person if they swap out the identity mid-meeting? Can she use them to try and deceive a colleague she owes money to or a superior chasing after a long-overdue report?
While I'm at it, how does it look to someone who isn't immune? Should my Sidereal be leaving and re-entering the room to make it less obvious these two people are actually just one, or does the witness just sort of rationalise it away themselves when the unassuming dock worker is replaced by the daring investigator?

I presume they might still get some of the vibe driving the destiny, but it's an insignificant thing compared to being able to perceive the Sidereal in truth. There's a vague feeling of that one being a soldier, but it's much smaller than what you know or see or can guess about them.

I'm gonna say that while the Sidereal remains in that person's presence, there's a continuity of memory (albeit with a confusing sense that the person's whole demeanour has changed), and once the Sidereal goes away then all memories of the prior destiny recede.

Probably better to leave and come back.

      • Is there a 3rd Ed Sidereal book text available at all at the current stage?

People who did the Kickstarter have access to a Google Doc of the full manuscript, same as usual.

              • Does anybody think there are any spots in the Maiden Charms that seem as though they might make sense but haven't been covered yet?

Give that specific Hearteater the equivalent of a Solar Bond, basically. No way the relationship would be healthy, and it's far from "fixing" the Exaltation, but at least they'd have an easier time not eating people's identities.

*Table-dependent ruling, obviously, I just want to know if the logic tracks.
I think Solar 2-3 mentions altering an exaltation? Which seems about right.

Altering an Exaltation isn’t mentioned specifically, but Solar 2 lets you “Utterly transform the nature of a supernatural being—
remaking a demon as a god, or turning an elemental into
a specter composed of the corpse-elements of the
Underworld, or similar.” Solar 3 allows the creation of unique, considerably powerful supernatural beings.

With that said, I’d lean Solar 3, if I allowed it at all. I’m not a huge fan of being able to change major weaknesses of a character type like that.

                    • Since the Sidereals preview was dropped, can someone tell me if it mentioned anything about how the Sidereals hunted Solars? Prophecy / Divination methods etc? And how might another Exalt counter them?
