For Role/Aspect Bonuses, does not being in a scene at all count as “ceding the spotlight?”

The full text of the bonus is:

Intentionally ceding the ‘spotlight’ of the scene’s focus to
another player’s character in such a way that it makes that
character shine in the role of their Caste

So it's situational. You'd need to decline an opportunity to participate in the scene with the intent of ceding the spotlight, not just because you had something to do in a different scene or because of reasons beyond your character's control.

I read yesterday in the kickstarter update that Exalted Essence is getting ready for Kickstarter. Is Exigents going to get a Kickstarter?

Our intention is that every splatbook will get a Kickstarter (or equivalent crowdfunding campaign). But that's up to Onyx Path, so we can't make any promises; we won't know for certain if Exigents will get a Kickstarter until Onyx Path tells us so. It is, however, very likely to happen.

If you roll successes on a damage roll, but then your oponent either removes dice of damage or cancels damage so no damage is done, can you still activate Edge of Morning Sunlight (Core 350).

If person A swears an oath to Lunar B and person C that they will do something as long as B and C do something in return, and the Lunar sanctifies it with Blood Gease Binding (Lunars 197), and person C violates the oath, what happens? My assumption is the Lunar doesn't get any form, and person A is no longer bound by the oath?

I'd picked up previously that Getimians and Liminals weren't slated for Kickstarters of their own. Is that still the case?

Does evolving into a Greater Elemental Dragon still involve becoming a mindless apocalypse engine that has to be locked away, causing Lesser Elemental Dragons to intentionally halt their spiritual progression?

Will these new types of Exalted get rules for creation/Charm lists in other books then? I could see something like including rules for Liminals in an Abyssals book, given their overlap in undead themes, and similarly having Getimian rules in Sidereals. On the flipside, is the intent to functionally retcon them out of the edition?

I think you misunderstood? Getimians and Liminals will get their own books. They will not get their own Kickstarters.

A recurring question on Dragon-Scale Shield though, sorry: Does activating multiple variants count as a single multiple aspect charm or as individual charms? I.e. if you trigger Fire and Air together is it an Air/Fire charm or one Fire and one Air charm?

If person A's performance is contingent on person C's performance of a separate task and person C hasn't performed, then A isn't violating the contract by not performing themself.
