Probably won't get an answer, if we're given a firm one at all, until the Getimians book, but heck, I'll ask anyway: What was it about Getimians that made Oramus and Sacharavell not use them? Was it just too late in the Revolution, or was there something about them that was not suitable to their purposes, or is there something that Thakan either doesn't know about or doesn't care about, that makes them dangerous?

As far as Heaven is concerned [discarded destinies showing up as living people] is disturbing on a number of levels, because now not only is she real, but also it implies all these destinies they dream up as hypotheticals and don't enact have some sort of moral weight? What the hell? Like there is a reason the world's creators looked at the Getimians when they were created and just noped right the fuck out.

So I was thinking about the movement of the Sun in Creation. Are their time zones in Creation? So if I teleport from the West to the East do I suddenly go from morning to afternoon? It sort of only matters because of Ghosts in Shadowlands being immaterial during the day but if day is a relative concept that makes a moving zone of effect.

Hey Devs! I'm pretty new to Exalted (just started playing last fall). Loving it so far, the lore of the universe and the mechanics are so much fun.
Anyways, I tried looking through the forums for clarifications about the Persona Charms in Solar Socialize, but still had several questions I couldn't find answers to. For all the questions I'm asking about creating a new Persona with all the upgrade Charms in effect.
1) When switching between the Persona(s) and the base character, how much do each of them know about the other's time? Will the Persona already know their Circle or do they have to be introduced to them? Does the base retain information that the Persona gathers? Things along those lines.
2) The Mote and Willpower cost for Heart-Eclipsing Shroud, does that only apply when actually turning on a created Persona? And then just creating a Persona but not currently using it does not cost...?
3) After creating a Persona for the first time, do you have to spend 4 hours each time you enter the existing Persona? Or only the first time? If it does, does Flashing Ruse Prana only apply to the physical disguise and not the Persona as well? Or is there another way to transition faster?
4) Merits: does the Persona have access to the Merits of the base character? If so is it only the physical merits like Artifacts and innate abilities like Ambidextrous? Does it also apply to Merits like Resources, Followers, Languages?
5) Charms: I've seen some people saying that the Persona takes all Charms from the base person that they have the qualifying ability points for. Is that accurate?
Never mind this one. I just reread the Charm again and it clearly says the answer. lololol
6) Hundred-Faced Stranger says to "Halve the Solars total XP..." Does that include Solar XP? I've seen conflicting comments in other forums.Last edited by druidragon; 06-08-2021, 01:16 AM.

Hey,
I've got a question that's still bugging me about Getimians. I think I finally have my head wrapped around the intended concept, but I'd really like to understand them as they may be showing up in upcoming sessions of my game.
Is it more correct to say:
A) Getimians are heroes from alternate versions of Creation that do not exist.
or
B) Getimians are heroes who would exist save for alterations in Fate.
Those may not sound distinct to you, but in case A, I think of something akin to Into the Spider-verse - except none of the alt-Spideys have a 'home dimension' to which they might return. In case B, you're talking about events and changes that would have happened in the only iteration of Creation that will ever exist, but did not because some force disrupted Fate. (Please note, I'm not saying Case B equates to "All Getimians are the fault of Sidereals.")
I appreciate the effort to try to resolve my question, even if it seems like splitting hairs.
Thanks,
Garg

(I'm not sure if this answers your question, because you're right in that your alternatives do not sound distinct to me.)

I have been doing a little bit of a look at Lunars lately and the lore for them in 3E is heads and shoulders above previous editions from what I have seen so far, but one thing really bugs me in 3E and I'd like to know the rationale behind this; why was the design decision made to only give them three castes again?
I know that the old First Age Castes were from previous editions but we also know they existed to some extent in 3E as they are mentioned. There seems to be no longer a lore reason other than 'Um, they wanted to" as the Lunars themselves are not twisted by the Wyld as they did not flee in the same manner to the borders of the world as in previous editions from what I can tell. So, what's the skinny?
Apologies if this has been asked before.

We don't see having just three Lunar Castes as a mistake that needs fixing. And we felt that "the Lunars deliberately changed their Castes to meet the new circumstances of the Second Age" was a good way to update the previous editions' approach to their changing Castes in a way that fit their intended tone and made them seem cool.
