  • Homebuilt Exalted ST Screen & Reference Sheet

Following the marvellous discovery of a DIY ST screen and condensed Ex3 rules, I've made a few play aids that people might use.

    PDFs:

A4US LetterFor those who want to edit things (but will need the right fonts):

    PowerPointWord

A4US LetterDo people want the Storyteller's Screen in US Letter format? The template I've seen for the screen wants A4, but if people use Letter screens I can make some. It will however take some time, as there is text-juggling involved.

Many thanks to those who contributed to this thread to help me work out what to include in the screen. I mostly followed the suggestions, but I didn't fit all of them in, I'm sorry to say.

I'm also open to suggestions for what to change/add - there is some white space on some of the panels that I couldn't quite fill with information, so there is some wiggle room. I'm also open to people thinking it's totally useless and needs reworking.

Ex3 Reference Materials - currently includes an ST screen, common actions sheet, weapons reference sheet, character creation summary and mortal QCs reference sheet.

    Very nice.

The bonus to Evasion/Parry from a specialty is before division, though. Not after.

Would be good to include weapon Parry bonuses, too.

Speciality point corrected, and weapon's parry bonus added to the notes. I did consider adding in individual weapon stats, but they won't fit into a single side of A4. Would people appreciate a third reference sheet with them on?

        Definitely.

Can you include the Lengthy Debate rules in the Social Combat section?

Very nice. Once the Backer PDF is out I should finish reformating Madletter's cascades to letter format...

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar and I deeply appreciate your efforts.

PS: In regards to your avatar, I can't tell you how much I'd like to have one of those pomo Crucible of Worlds in the old, good Magic frame.

In the defense stats, it notes that evasion has -mobility penalty, but parry doesn't have +weapon's defense. Which matters because medium weapons give +1 and mundane heavy weapons give -1.

Curses, I uploaded the wrong version. Fixed now.

I'm now working on weapons reference sheets. Because it needs to be broken up, I'm splitting it by Close/Thrown/Archery, but how do people want things split within those categories? They're presented in Light/Medium/Heavy order, but would people prefer it if they were alphabetical by name, rather than sorting by category first? I'd imagine people look for the name of a weapon before they look for the category, but I wanted to check first.

Could I be an ass and ask that you do it for A4 as well? I can't tell you how much I've wanted a print-out of those things.

Ta muchly. I fell in love with the look of the card and the idea. A liking of His Dark Materials doesn't hurt either in that regard.

Weapons reference sheet uploaded, and Lengthy Debates added to the Social Combat rules.

Note that I copied the individual weapons listings from Flint's condensed rules Cheat Sheet. This saved me a lot of time and I am very grateful. I left out the homebrew items included in that list, though.

Also remembered I had a 2-page character creation summary done. Have added that the links at the top of the page.

On the weapon reference sheet, the artifact weapon summary is copied from the Mundane weapon summary, at least for the hand to hand stuff. Haven't checked the thrown or archery stuff.

Right. Didn't realise that artefact weapons had different size-based characteristics than mundane weapons. Will go over it once this documentary on ancient China has finished.

Speakin' of which, it does look like the Artifact Weapon stats use the Mundane weapon information.

Sooo, I don't really have access to my printer right now. Is your stuff gonna print okay in Letter? Cuz I'm only peripherally aware of what A4 is, and I know I don't have any A4 paper :P

Probably true of a lot of people here.

Fixed in the latest set of uploads, which will now have specific paper sizes.

The weapons reference sheets should be ok, as there's lot of border, which will (probably) be covered for in the 2cm differences here and there in the scales. The ST screen and common actions sheets will be much closer. I've adjusted all of the docs apart from the ST screen to fit US Letter format; the ST screen will take more adjusting as there's text boxes that need chivvying around.

                            Apologies for any confusion/frustration caused!
