Like if a lot of the gods can be environmentalist while still being not being ecofascist and genocidal towards mankind, why can’t the Dragons? Especially since it means you have several Dragons who can not have anything but a very antagonistic role to the player group

I noticed that as well. I'm annoyed with how some of them are written to fit that "theme." My group has elected to ignore some of what a few of us have brought up about since their Jormungandr clashes with the actual myth. We're going to go through the rest when the books come out and talk about how much we are going to use.

Yeah the ecofascism stuff kinda makes it hard to see the gods as being in the wrong for fighting the Dragons

On the Scion discord someone had a nice idea for an Heir, specifically an Heir of the Drakon with the note that some of the Drakon were children of Ares, and the Heir treats all of of Ares Scions as new uncles and aunts

Yeah, increasingly, I think the Ready-Made Characters and Gods are from an earlier version.

Leena has “Transcendent Deception” and Arcane Calculus as her purviews. Note that this will be the only time Arcane Calculus is listed in the Pre-Mades. We don’t know what her Ivory Idol does, but if you fix Deception’s name, that’s a starting character. (Unless Transcendent [Purview] is meant to indicate it’s the Awareness-fueled version.)

I’m not going to dissect each of the others, but I suspect that the designer crossed wires and assumed that a) Scions get two purviews at character creation, b) you get to pick one Purview from a list provided by a Relic, and c) your Pantheon Purview isn’t an automatic purchase.

    B) would make some of the baffling Relic designs last chapter make sense: “it’s fine that a three-dot relic has three Purviews listed, you only get to pick one!”

And while we’re talking about the PMC...

At a guess, I’m going to say that Occult is one of the Pantheon Skills, and Leadership may be the other? But that’s if the designer assumed that you have to have one of the skills, not both.

Then again, PMC are notoriously difficult to get right in pretty much any RPG I can name, which is a shame, because they’re a resource for the players least likely to be able to catch mistakes.

Now if I were to (jokingly) suggest Virtues for the Mythos Scions it'd be "Curiosity" and "NOPE!"

Curiosity is the urge to go "Well I do want to know this thing..." and NOPE! is the urge to go "Fuck this I'm out"
Less jokingly, maybe Vision (or Fantasy/Dream) vs Nihilism?

Of course, we're missing the Pantheon Skills too....

Still, I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Having seen a Let's Play of Omori, I have an idea for a group of teenagers who become Mythos Scions after entering the Dreamlands by accident and fight monsters, villains, and insecurities all at once.
They still would need to have addressed it in character creation and traits. “Characters with Awareness no longer have Virtues”.

And they included blank tracks on the sample characters. Of course the sample characters have little connection to the rules of the game, so that’s not saying anything.

I like the Long preview, they feel like a full blown faction with politics and stuff, rather then a bunch of randos and assholes with vaguely similar goals. And dragon court politics is a fun idea

That sounds like a really cool concept. Also, I just wanted to say I love the second preview, especially the sample characters.
