  • Hunter the Reckoning 5th Edition Character Sheets

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I have a finished character sheet for Hunter the Reckoning 5th Edition! I saw the preview sheet earlier today and thought I should work on one too!

I have a couple of other styles in mind to work on, but I thought I'd go ahead and release the first one since it was ready. Once I have the other styles finished, I'll let y'all know!

I hope you like how this one turned out though!

You can download the sheet from the Hunter the Reckoning section of my site here: https://mrgone.rocksolidshells.com/wod.html#htr

Here is a direct link to the sheet should you need it:

Hi again everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I have two more Hunter the Reckoning 5th Edition Character sheets!

I made one in the classic Reckoning Style, and since this new version seems to be partially inspired by Hunter the Vigil I made a version of the sheet with the Vigil styling as well.

        I hope you enjoy them!

You can download them in the Hunter the Reckoning section of my site here: https://mrgone.rocksolidshells.com/wod.html#htr

Hi again everyone! Now that the book is out, I'm going to try to make an expanded character sheet. I figured I'd use my Vampire 5th 4 Page sheet as as base, but I have a question. Do Hunters have the equivalent of a Haven? On page 3 of the 4 page Vampire sheet I have a big section for Haven, and I can convert that if there is something similar...

I think most everything else is covered, but if you think of anything specific you'd like to see, just let me know what you're thinking and I'll see what I can do.

I don't have the book yet, so you might have to spell things out for me if you need something specific. LOL. I hear there is something about Redemption Dice and something about Drive? Not totally sure what those are, but if you have any ideas about em, let me know.

I also hear there is Hierarchy of some sort that the official sheet doesn't make mention of. So if you have some info about that you don't mind sharing that'd be cool.

Anyway, thanks in advance for the help!

Hi again! Just wanted to bump this to see anyone had any ideas or suggestions about what to do for a 4 page Hunter 5E sheet?

If you have something you'd like to see done, just here and/or email me at mrgonejediknight (@) gmail.

            Thanks!

Desperation Dice are kinda like the Hunger analogue. Drive is the thing you get to add Desperation Dice to. When Desperation goes sour, it becomes Despair.

I can't offer much more help than that. H5 doesn't seem to have much of an online presence, as far as I can see, so there may not be many people to chime in. You could try the WoD Discord?

I've looked at it and there are a couple things:
                • Redemption is derived from Drive, so it doesn't need to be on the char-sheet at all. When you're in Despair, the Redemption-mechanic is triggering your Drive (which is actually the only time Drive comes into play... yeah, I know, it's weird, so Redemption and Drive are kinda the same actually)
                • Chronicle Tenets don't need to be on the first page because they have mechanically no effect (maybe something for pg3 or 4)
                • The Edges & Perks section... They should all have one Header and then subheaders with the lines going straight through. Now some Edges generate items and in one case an animal companion (or multiple). With Asset-Edges the items are even temporary, so that should get reflected on the char-sheet somewhere.
                • Creed-Fields should be Creed-Field. You only get one for your Creed. And it only needs like three lines. The Creed-Fields are fairly short in terms of word-count.
                • When it comes to items: In addition to the weapons-section there should be a section for armor.
                • There should be two sections for the special items generated by Edges: One for the temporary items generated by Asset-Edges, the other for the special ones generated by the other Edges (with "Itemname" (whatever Edge it came from) - Details (all the stuff the Edge makes you decide about it, so some space to note down that stuff) )
                • The section on the first page where Chronicle-Tenets are I would replace with the Desperation-Track and the Danger-Track. The Desperation-Track is a five-dot-track. Now with the Danger-Track the tricky thing is that it can be five or more dots. The book, though, never explains how to use the Danger-Track and adjust the rating to go higher or not, so I don't know if anybody is actually doing that, the book just lists it as "(Tracker rating varies, default is 1-5)".

Might have to look into that. Might ask around on Twitter too... we'll see.

Wow, that's a lot of info! Appreciate you posting that.

I might have some more questions once I really start digging into work on this, but my question for now is about the Desperation and Danger Track. Should those be dots, or boxes like I have health and willpower? Or should they be dots and boxes?

Also, you mentioned the Edges and Perks section and said this: "The Edges & Perks section... They should all have one Header and then subheaders with the lines going straight through." what do you mean by that? Wasn't totally sure your meaning..

Anyway, thank you so far the help and suggestions!!

Sure. I really don't like H5 but in criticizing the book, I have thoroughly read through it.

There's no visual representation for these tracks in the book, so it could be either. These are both tracks that go up and down during the game, so I guess they have more in common with health and willpower, so maybe boxes?

Ah, wasn't sure if I'd chosen the right terms for it. What I meant was something like

No problem, in my opinion, your character-sheet already looks better than the official one from Renegade .

That official one also has Redemption at the top... so strange. Maybe they accidentally published a character-sheet from a playtest-version of the game.

Sorry you don't care for the book, but I'm glad you've read through it enough to help me out. I should probably try to work my way through, but it's tough finding time sometimes..

Ok, cool. I'll just stick with the format of those then and we'll see how it goes.

Ah, ok... so similar to what I have, just minus the space in the lines. I think I'd added those thinking a rating or something might need to be recorded. But, I can do them all as straight lines.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear you like it so far! I thought doing one in the minimal style, but then doing them in the classic and Vigil style would be cool too. I'm working on HtR 20th Anniversary sheets, so I'll have an H5 sheets in that style soon too!

Oh, mine also has redemption at the top, but it's because I based it on the sheet that was released. So that should be removed then? Got any ideas what should go in it's place? I could add "Player" to the first column, and move "concept" in place of Redemption...

I've been thinking Redemption should go into the same column on the bottom-right like Creed-Field. What Redemption actually looks like is that, let's say your hunter-character has the Drive Pride then Redemption is: "Besting the quarry in some type of challenge, directly or indirectly." That's why it's strange that it's up there at the top. It corresponds with the Drive. And strangely, to end Despair consulting your Drive and that associated Redemption is the only time that Drive ever comes into play. But it would be good to have that as a reminder on the character-sheet just like the Creed-Field.

But it needs more lines than Creed-Field because the Atonement-Redemption is this: "The cell must protect someone from the quarry (or a similar creature), either directly or by proxy, by standing in harm’s way, taking a proverbial bullet for them. Alternatively, the Hunter can redeem themselves by doing the same for a cellie." For whatever reason, the Atonment-one is very verbose compared to the others (the rest are more like the Pride-example from before).

Ah.. ok. I gotcha. I appreciate the info! Well, I'll see what I can do about giving it some extra space then.

I'm sure I'll have more questions when I start too, so expect more questions later on.
