      • Ok, not sure if this has been said yet but, the Winchester brothers are clearly Mummies. Some low key, nifty tricks for the most part, keep coming back from the dead, are frequently in contact with the divine, and they fight evil.

A good stab, but their whole bit is that they're human. Let's go for something a bit more on point. They're Hunters, obviously, originally with the Union. How do they not stay dead? A ten point Merit I like to call "God is My Co-Author," that basically allows them to keep cheating death, but only so long as they take some truly nasty flaws and/or derangements that they have to work to resolve.

OH yes, that's CoD. Then drop the Union part, and replace with "collection of working class joes who've networked together to share information and support."

Things in the mythic age were more flexible, but when magic and the fae faded from the world things solidified and the various supernaturals got a lot more stratified. However it seems that there was masquerade breaking magic being thrown around in the AT timeline even before the apocalypse, so things may have gone more flexible towards the "end times" again. At leadt that's how I'd hand wave things.

                    • One time my friends and I did a Hunter: The Reckoning play-by-post game where we played as Naruto characters redone as Imbued. This is what all we came up with, though it may not be exactly faithful to canon on either end.

                      Naruto Uzumaki: Defender
                      Hinata Hyuga: Innocent
                      Kiba Inuzuka: Avenger
                      Shikamaru Nara: Visionary
                      Mikoto Uchiha: Martyr
                      Sasuke Uchiha: Wayward
                      Tsunade: Judge

Thought it might be worth mentioning in this thread.

                      • The Hyuga bloodline power is really more on par with the Judgment Edge Discern, isn't it?

A lot of Stephen King's work translates well into Changeling. Now, you could argue that the Overlook Hotel (or the mansion Rose Red) are haunts full of particularly malign wraiths (or even Spectres) . . . but they work better as freeholds. Horrific nightmares are as much a part of the Dreaming as sweet dreams, and there are canon examples of some very messed-up freeholds (I'm looking at you, Graymere Glen). The prowling topiaries, the fact that (in the early days) Jack almost instantly forgets his encounters, even his wigging out and typing nothing but "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" for hundreds of pages . . . Changeling has rules to cover all of that.

And it wouldn't be out of place to have wraiths haunting a freehold. Thanks to all the faerie-inspired "fun and games", the Shroud between the Skin and Shadowlands can be very thin, even in the happier/ more pleasant ones. And the darker ones . . . It makes perfect sense for some of them to push a vulnerable human into murder (or worse). After all, to enter a freehold is to walk into a place where dreams are made real. And people have dreamt some very black dreams, down through the centuries.

For the most part, Mages, honestly. Each of them does magic in their own way - King Mob uses a neo-Shamanic style combined with drug- and sex-magic (I'd probably make him a Dual Trad Dreamspeaker/Cult of Ecstasy), Robin uses hypertech like a Virtual Adpet, Lord Fanny uses either a Dreamspeaker tradition or a Mesoamerican Craft. Boy is the only one who doesn't use overt magic that I can recall (at least not with the support of the others), but her use of martial arts may qualify as Do, and her magic is just super subtle. Jack is an Orphan, and the enemies are a cross between Nephandi and Technocrats.
