If you want to keep it very tragic, he's still on the run from his former colleagues and the Technocracy, who'd love to see what makes him tick...for one reason or another...while he himself tries to get a grip on his state, and not hurt anybody by accident.

Alternatively, he actually, begrudgingly is back in their fold in a less-than-official capacity, as part of a rather....experimental Ops Unit consisting of Progenitor experiments, It-X technology, a (gasp) Reality Deviant or two, and NWO supervisors...
Yes, we're aware that Mage can do anything. Its problem is that it doesn't do any of what it takes in and tries to cover with its grasp well, because the generic system has great big giant holes and only answers to Paradox, rather than unique mechanics that would be well-suited to a unique monster type.

Edit: The Hulk's struggle, much as with many of these odd characters out, is not with the nature of reality. For the Hulk, having to deal with Rage makes way more sense than adding on a Paradox stat. Other characters of this type will similarly have more in common with characters not from Mage, in a manner being like the WoD version of the yet to be released CoD Deviant: the Renegades.

      That wasn't my intended message
But S.H.I.E.L.D. screams Union, and Bruce Banner being a scientist with whose experiment has horribly gone wrong? It just fit too much not to make the connection. I really think less of stats and more of story fluff there.

If we are talking stats though, it actually makes sense to come up with custom splats for a lot of third party chracters out there (Wasn't there even a custom character sheet for that...?) - it's kind of sad how WoD often enough gets reduced to only 'known' splats when it has so much potential for more. CoD is kind of better at that part to some degree, yeah.

Only if you stripped out every last bit of Mage-specific concern and just had them use mechanics and themes from other games, because Marvel's stuff is about a flash spectacle and not struggles over what is real or not (that's left to the metatextual level of editorial struggles with executives!)

CoD still fell into the same pit by having the Power Stat - Fuel Stat - Powers rated by dots template format as a pervasive thing, though.

        • CoD's use of Power/Fuel/Morality across the board was to facilitate crossover between lines, something cWoD fans had always wanted, but had always been a mechanical headache because MR*H and co. didn't really design the first editions of the games with that in mind.

The character of the Incredible Hulk was conceived as a sort of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde meets "walking nuclear bomb", a nuclear physicist caught in the blast of his own creation and turned into a monster. Warren Ellis actually did a pretty cool riff on the concept in his Planetary series, both explaining why a guy building nuclear weapons would be considered a heroic (if slightly tragic) protagonist in the early 1960s, and working in the series's overall concept of reality altering forces by having the man "ride the wave" of the device he'd created and use his genius to "rewrite" his body into something that would survive the event. The original, with its themes of mutation via radiation, fits really well with Werewolf as some sort of unique and freakishly powerful Wyrm monster that would challenge a mid to high level pack as the main villain of a long chronicle (say one where he's planning to create some sort of mass nuclear event to create more of his kind). The other works really well with Mage, either as a unique accidental creation by a scientist on the verge of Awakening (as a Marauder, perhaps), or some sort of Void Engineer or Progenitor experiment gone wrong.

                • Everybody from the clan, GhosTown, (from the game, Urban Rivals) is definite Wraith material. Heck, they already are ghosts in a toned-down version of a Necropolis.

As for the PPG, since they were made with common materials in an alchemist-like procedure, they could be created by the Children of Knowledge.

                  • Mortimer Beckett: I'm going with him eventually joining the Arcanum by him accidentally finding him, them being impressed with his detective skills and asking him to join. Though he'd get in trouble for stopping something he should be watching like someone being prepared to be sacrificed in a Baali ritual.

                        Less so nowadays, IMO.

So someone did Persona awhile ago. How about the broader Shin Megami Tensei series? The Devil Summoner series? What would all the ‘demons’ and their summoners be?

                              • Kaya and Aria from Little Romanesque: Editio Regia would be apprentace Mages for the Order of Hermes. Domino (their mentor) would be one of the few Archmages to have survived the Avatar Storm and still have his umbral Chantry (the tower he teaches at) in tact if you're using the revised edition metaplot. Mauresumo would be a Wraith that is close to transcending, Tillet would be a Mage/Technocrat experiment and Constantine is True Fae.

EDIT: Olga would be a high-ranking Chorister and her assistant would also be one, but at a lower rank.
