    • From the Conjuringverse

Batsheba should be either a Spectre or a Wraith defending her fetters namely, the house.

The Annabelle Demon is, obviously, a demon. Given the fact the Mullins summoned it into the doll without any sort off specialized ritual, I'm inclined to think it's a Fallen that lost its vessel and began using the doll as a reliquary.
It could be of any House.

Valak is, in my opinion, a bona fide Earthbound. Given its mastery of the souls of the dead, I'd be inclined to think of it as a Slayer. However, its ability to change shapes and its title "Marquis of snakes" makes me think it could be a Devourer who had a hand in creating those animals.

          • Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate Ideas and Question (and spoilers galore)

The villains who make up the "Werewolf" unit are pretty easy to stat-up, IMO, especially using the BNS LARP rules. There's actually a couple of options for each one - although all but one is actually a vampire and the nickname of the unit is just a nickname, there is an argument for them actually being Abominations, especially in the BNS rules (though it requires a bit of breaking the rules presented on Abominations there... they are villains so I'm cool with it). Not only is their unit name "Werewolves," they often fight with rows of fang-like teeth. This is arguably a style choice by the manga-ka, but visually it strikes me as them taking on Glabro before going into battle to get some stat boosts.

Tubalcaine Alhambra [EDIT: who actually isn't a werewolf but is distinct enough to define] is mostly likely an Assamite. His deck of cards could be steel throwing weapons coated in Quietus-active blood (which would explain how they cut into Alucard and keep him bleeding). He also seems to have a great deal of Presence, and in BNS likely has the power Unnatural Grace as well. If statted as an Abomination, the cards can also be Fetishes. I'm thinking he'd be a Glass Walker, given his influence over the police. Chaos Mechanics would allow him to utilize different types of fuel at once, as well. For an Auspice, either Ragabash or Galliard could work (Ragabash for stealth and infiltration; Galliard for social manipulation factors.

Lt. Rip Van Winkle was the easiest. She's an 8th Gen Toreador - Celerity and Auspex for sniping/shooting, and a love of opera? I considered Assamite for her but it doesn't really work anywhere near as well. In the LARP rules, 8th Gen also allows her to have a single Elder Power - Projectile - and still get Celerity techniques - Bullseye is a must for her. However, in the LARP rules, she is the one who needs to be an Abomination most - the Black Furies have a merit called "Arrows of Artemis" which can significantly improve damage output (Rage is a track as opposed to fuel in BNS rules, for those who haven't played; as it goes up, you increase regeneration, get extra actions, and do extra damage. Normally the damage is Melee or Brawl only, but Arrows lets Black Furies add it to any ranged attack). In this case, her rifle also becomes a Fetish. Her Auspice could be Ragabash or Ahroun.

Zorin Blitz is a bit trickier. She's either a Ravnos with Dementation, or a Malkavian with Chimerstry training. In the LARP I would likely go Malkavian because they have way better Merits. She's clearly Elder level, given how widespread her attacks go. If incorporating Abomination status, I think Fianna makes an oddly appropriate choice; there aren't a ton of illusions in BNS Werewolf, but Fianna has one (and access to Spiritual Emblem, which could make any single tattoo of hers a fetish). Probably Galliard or Ahroun (I'm noticing a slight pattern here).

The one I need help with is Walter. What clan does he fit at the end?

This was never answered as far as I know, and would need to be update for Endgame in any case. He had a pretty impressive forces feat in there at the end.

For the film version, I'm thinking Order of Hermes/Akashic Dual Tradition is probably the closest. I know the feat you're talking about, but I'm not sure it requires a major update to his Forces - he already was demonstrating powerful Forces spheres.

That said, he isn't necessarily a master of that many spheres; many of his feats arguably could be done with lower levels. Correspondence master, likely. Arguably NOT Time, since he was wielding an artifact that had Archmastery of Time built in. But his Forces feats probably could be achieved with three or four dots, along with a parallel amount of Prime.

The real reason I vote OoH/Akashic is style of using magic. The mages of his order utilize circles and patterns clearly inspired by western Hermeticism (real world Hermeticism, mind) and related practices; however, they also emphasize body work and martial arts in their practices. Given that two of their three "must keep safe" locales were in Hong Kong and London, and Kamar-taj is in India, the two orders merged makes sense for the movie version of the character. The idea that they are drawing upon energy from other dimensions is a bit of a sticking point, admittedly - it kind of fits in with the Hermetics but not quite - but then again, each order has different interpretations and factions with varying practices, so it's ultimately a non-issue IMO.

                • I pretty much agree with that. What about spirit? Doesn't he need some of that to get into the mirror dimension and Doramu's realm? Correspondence alone wouldn't suffice, would it?

                  • That dimension was overlapping with earth when he did that, so it would have been possible to reach it w/o Spirit. However, considering that the job of the sorcerer supreme it's to protect earth from such things some Spirit would be in order

Gah. That's why I was thinking Spirit. I knew somewhere along the line Spirit was useful, but I couldn't think of anytime he actually controlled a spirit or spoke to an object (I mean, besides owning Dormammu). Forgot that you could use Spirit for going into the Umbra and related dimensions (most of my recent involvements with Spirit magic in any game have involved the spirits themselves, not crossing over).
