  • Which Changeling fiction is the best?

    Hello folks,

Since I'm planning to pick up some WoD novels or maybe anthologies, I'm considering Changeling too.

If you would recommend one Changeling novel or anthology, or just an anthology with the best Changeling short-story in it, which should I buy?

There's only two anthologies, the original mid-90s one The Splendour Falls, which seems to be out of print (though available from used booksellers on Amazon), and the more recent C20 Anthology of Dreams, which is available on drivethrurpg.com.

There's also the Immortal Eyes trilogy, which was made to tie in with 1st ed's series of adventure chronicles/regional sourcebooks about San Fransisco, Hawaii, and Ireland. The original author also recently wrote a follow up set twenty years later to coincide with Changeling's 20th Anniversary edition. All of them are also available on drivethrurpg.

I'm not planning to buy the trilogy, especially if it's spoileriffic. But which anthology do you recommend?
OK, unless the C20 one isn't very good, or Splendour Falls is the most amazing I'm not going to the trouble to buy a used book this time.

I honestly remember the Immortal Eyes novels being more enjoyable that the tie in game sourcebooks.

I read Splendour Falls over 20 years ago, and unfortunately don't remember much of anything about it, other than it did have a prologue for Immortal Eyes featuring one of its characters. (I sold almost all my WoD fiction books several years ago.) I'm honestly a little surprised that it and some of the other 90s anthologies aren't available digitally on Storytellers Vault or DriveThru. I presume there's some sort of legal issue.
I've never read the C20 anthology, unfortunately.
