  • Clan Novels and Grail Covenant now on Kindle and other ebooks

    https://crossroadpress.com/product-c...TAUco5Oo3GlIts

    Yes, the first seven Clan Novels are out.

    * Toreaor
    * Tzimisce
    * Gangrel
    * Setite
    * Ventrue
    * Lasombra
    * Assamite

    Plus the Grail Covenant!

    Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, Barnes and Nobles, and Kobo!

    I remember reading these in the 90s and while I wouldn't say they were GREAT (except SETITE and GIOVANNI--which were legitimately good horror novels as well as fun game fic), I will say that I had a lot of fun with the series overall. I was kind of annoyed they weren't available on Kindle and the PDFs available on RPGnow were nearly unreadable because they were just photos of the originals. So having them on my Kindle to read will be a great improvement. I also am pleased to say I played a small role in getting these things out by getting in touch with White Wolf and pointing out my publisher, who wrote some of these books himself, had a history convertig game fic and tie-ins.

    I understand the current release schedule is finish up the Clan Novels then do the Dark Age Clan Novels and see if any interest exists for other books like the Clan Novel Trilogies, The Red Death, Werewolf Tribe Books, and so on.

    I have my fingers crossed this will not only lead to the re-release of the entire 150 novel back catalog of the entire Old World of Darkness but that it might eventually lead to more novels entirely.

      I assume they'll eventually get to them.

      Mind you, I assume that any future releases will depend on sales.

        Finished my re-read of the first book. It's probably a book that deserves 4 instead of 5 but I'm overly enthusiastic:

        https://www.amazon.com/Clan-Novel-To...ct_top?ie=UTF8

        CLAN NOVEL: TOREADOR is the start of the original 13 book Clan Novel Saga written in the nineties for the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop RPG line. It was an amazing collection of stories that contained an overarching metaplot of the Sabbat (evil vampires) attacking cities across the United States belong to the Camarilla (not as evil vampires). Also, following the quest for a powerful mystical artifact called the Eye of Hazimel.

        This book stars Toreador protagonists Leopold and Victoria Ash. Leopold is a struggling sculptor who lures young women to his studio to feed upon while Victoria Ash is a socialite obsessed with the fickle currency of undead prestige. They represent the two extremes of Toreador life as artistes and poseurs. They also are two vampires who are going to be caught up in the Sabbat's brutal assault on the city of Atlanta, Georgia.

        The writing for this novel isn't exactly Shakespeare but it's a good introduction into the World of Darkness so that non-fans of the RPG shouldn't have any trouble getting into the books. Obviously, if you have a working knowledge of Vampire: The Masquerade then it will be easier but the game was always about archetypes. I love Victoria Ash and consider her one of my all-time favorite undead women. Even so, this is game fiction full of action, battles, and melodrama. More Underworld than Interview with a Vampire.

        I definitely recommend this to people looking for a fun urban fantasy read from a classic tabletop rpg.

          Glad to see this and I hope we get the Red Death trilogy on Kindle. The Victorian one as well. I'm not the biggest fan of PDF reading. Kindles are so nice on the eyes and easy to flip pages.

            I actually contacted White Wolf's CEO in hopes of getting PRINCE OF THE CITY and the RED DEATH CITY reprinted. Obviously, they decided they wanted to go with the best selling stuff first.

            Hopefully, it will sell enough to get the rest of the catalog re-releasd.

            A pipe dream that I have no information out would be they are allowed to do some new novels.

              Currently finishing up the Setite novel (best read of the series) and I think they are currently up to book 11. They need to do a better job with Amazon with search results and they need a left side button that lists all books in series. Anyone know whats going up after the clan novels? Are they doing trilogies or going to the dark ages 13 novel set?

              Any word at all yet?

                The Dark Ages books are next.

                They don't have a contract for the others yet. Whether the other books will be released on Kindle will depend on sales.

                  I really need to read these. They are not that long either.

                  Back in the hay day of 3rd edition people talked about a trilogy that was a must read. I cannot remember what it was though.

                  Does anyone know what I am talking about?
