I’m surprised that they didn’t mention Thanos Infinity Gaulent where he always sets the means to his defeat.

What in the name of Set is going on here?

I tend to go with the explanation from the "Crucible of God" scenario in Gehenna. The Ravnos antediluvian was closer to achieving apotheosis and transcending the Curse of Cain to become a god than any of its fellows. But its reawakening was too noisy and drew too much attention—the most ancient vampires of the East banded together to face it down before it could achieve divinity, and the apocalyptic nature of that struggle resulted in the unfettered might of the Technocracy lowering the boom and destroying it. (The method of doing so, it should be noted, was a combination of the godlike power of transdimensional nuclear bombs and effectively quadrupling the intensity of its greatest vulnerability, the curse of the Archangel Raphael.)

Unless one reality doesn't supplant another. Zappy may be destroyed in our reality but un-alive and kicking in another.
If you want to run things that way, it seems pretty possible. His higher soul transcended the Curse of Cain and traveled to a new reality. His Beast was left behind in his body and went on a rampage. For all intents and purposes, Ravnos the Antediluvian is now deceased and gone and never coming back.

Arrogance is still arrogance Promtheas. We seen enough stories where god beings own hubris does them in and the most memorable ones are the ones where such gods are just like humans with all our strengths & weaknesses pushed to the max and making poor choices.

Using a story as an example for the argument "it makes sense these guys lost" is a flawed argument because the very fact it's a story creates a bias in the example used.

It's like if a person was trying to advertize fast food as healthy by using data exclusively gathered from scientists employed by fast food franchizes to create favorable data.

Or tobacco companies using fringe scientists to push the narrative that smoking didn't cause cancer.
