As of today's Meeting Notes, Dark Eras 2 is the next Kickstarter coming down the hatch. Perhaps surprising, but certainly not unwelcome. We are now solidly out of the phase wishing this would happen in the indeterminante future, to it is happen in a couple of months. Let the rampant speculation begin!

I have a feeling we won't know the full Era list until the KS actually goes up.

I was always under the impression Dark Eras 2 was coming first. May just have been me though.

Well we won't know the FULL era list till the kickstarter is finished, since I'm sure they're going to do voting again on which eras to add as stretchgoals.

The last update on the Kickstarter is asking about how backers felt about the voting. They have not mentioned any specific eras, which makes sense.

I'm curious if this is going to be like the first one's 'we have the core book finished, who wants it and what else do you want' or more like 'you liked the first one, what eras would you like to back in the second?' Because if I'm being entirely honest, while the first 'draft' of Dark Eras had two eras I really liked, specifically Requiem for Regina and Doubting Souls, I wasn't going to buy the entire book as is. And I know some other people have found their favorite eras came more from the voted-upon sections, rather than the 'core' ones. I suppose that's why they asked for ideas, though, so the core might be more in line with what the community wanted in the first place.

Well, I suggested Qin Vampire, that's all I can do... other than make an actual writing submission and try to get hired which I've been putting off doing for a while I've been working on my Masters.

Changeling, Hunter, and Guest aren't out yet, how do they plan on doing eras for those lines when the 2e lines don't exist yet?

This was extremely premature and I hope they are more careful about giving us material that is unusable this time, like they did in the last Dark Eras.

We get it dude. We've been over this a million times, you don't want anything updated until we have all the 2es, while the majority of us don't mind. Plus Rich replied to your comment on the Meeting Notes and said that all three 2es will likely be out by the time DE2 is shipped. So I'd say they probalbly are going to write all three of those Eras as 2e content.

They'd at least have enough of an idea of how they're going to work. They already have that with Changeling and Hunter and, likely, Geist.

I hadn't read his reply when I wrote that. I no longer object as my concerns have been satisfied.

I doubt Mummy 2e will be done before this is, and really can't get excited to see it likely continue getting 1e content this many years into the new edition.

Let's say it does get announced; how many years between that and release? Two? Three?
