King's Raven: care to elaborate on your Hunter: Cults project? I haven't seen it mentioned before, but it sounds fascinating.

Gladly.

As the one word name might inform you Cults' closet counterpart in the Hunter line is Slasher. Just like Slasher is both a book presenting an evocative monster for your PCs to fight and a look at the Hunter's psyche Cults is going to be both an book of evocative cults for your PCs to fight and a look at the organisational psyche of a Compact/Conspiracy. What makes a Compact turn into a Cult, and perhaps more importantly how does a compact resist turning into a Cult?

My secondary goal is to sort of sell the idea of playing members of actual organisations. I got the impression that Hunter spends a little more time presenting ways for PCs to, for example, be a member of TF:V without having a commander. So I want to readdress the balance by presenting the other side of the argument: of why being part of an military chain of command is a fun concept.

It turns out that these goals are hard but I'm I working on it (so's Flyboy)

Cults? Hunters treading the edge of becoming what they fight? PCs as part of a chain of command and not crazed rogue cowboys? I think I'm in love, and I haven't even opened the link yet.

I added a link to London Underground (forgot about that one) my half finished city book for Geist. (It still needs the first half of the history and everything to do with the living half of the city, it started as a citybook for the Upper Reaches and sorta grew from there. In the unlikely event that anyone is interested in finishing it give me a shout).

I know they're a non-core Conspiracy, but you may wish to consider adding a bit on the VASCU for the Cults handbook. The FBI was a primary player in the Waco siege on the Branch Davidians, and maintain a handbook on cults and how to deal with them. In the World of Darkness, where cults are more common and sinister, the FBI's supernatural specialists would be well-versed in dealing with them.

VASCU aren't the FBI's supernatural specialists, they're the serial killer specialists. Since most Cults don't have any supernatural abilities it's probably the regular FBI that investigates them. Though maybe something like the Other Agencies sidebar on p54 would be a good idea. Want to write one?

I believe they loosely define "slashers" as any sort of supernatural serial criminal. That said, I could easily try my hand at writing something up. I feel like there was once a real Occult Crimes division, but I can't find anything on it.
