Hello everyone, I'm opening this thread because it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of the stuff I wrote or plan to write, especially since I tend to to post with a frequency that can be described, under very kind terms, as "erratic". So, this is simply the hub thread for all my homebrew stuff.

Here you can find things I created in the past with a direct link to the relative topic and also a list of the things I'm planning to write. Most of the old stuff is written with the First Edition Rules, obviously, but I do consider to go back to it and add at least a patch or two to make them more accessible, when it does not mean rewriting too much.

Chronicles of Darkness

Mage: The Awakening
- The Black Sun, a powerful cosmic Abyssal entity which has been trying to replace our Sun since the beginning of its non-existence. The results would not be nice, obviously. (Someday)

Promethean: The Created
- The Soulless and The Dead: The Comedy. Situations and NPCS for the Promethean Dark Era inspired by the Divine Comedy


Hunter: The Vigil
- [Conspiracy Idigam Cult] The Brotherhood of the Locust, related to the Locust Host above and the Idigam Mussughana, found in Night Horrors: Wolfsbane (1st Edition)
- "Bloodbath Rumble: The Movie". A cursed movie that summons four unstoppable slashers anytime someone watches it. Will the Hunters be able to survive the bloodbath and perhaps destroy the movie once and for all? Won't be easy, especially considering there's more to worry about than the already powerful slashers. A campy tribute to 80's slasher movies.

Geist: The Sin-Eaters
- Flight 108, a squad of spectral aircraft bombers. No one knows from where it comes from, since it's composed by aircrafts from different times and places, but pilots and sailors have been terrorized by it since WWII (Half done, waiting for Geist 2nd Edition)

Demon: the Descent
- Unchained Las Vegas, setting thread for a game that unfortunately never had the chance to be. On my list of things to expand, no matter how bitter about how the game went I might be

Beast: The Primordial
- Nightmares & Dreamscapes: Incursions from the Primordial Dream, open thread about all sorts of oddities born out the Primordial Dream. The plan is to post plenty of stuff in there.

The Black Sun is pretty much something that had to span through multiple gamelines and culminate with the Annunaki itself. It is...a really big idea I had, but I only managed to do the Werewolf stuff for it (the Bat Host and the Idigam). I appreciate the request but I'm afraid it's a little to big to be done right now

Those sound like good ideas. I might do Flight 108. It's ghostly stuff and in summer I always get in the mood for maritime supernatural things. Since I need to study again the ghost mechanics before I get to Geist, that would be two things at the price of one

Random ghostly idea - an Underworld courier service: a network of phantoms that exploit Avernian gates and the Rivers to access the world of the living and deliver important messages or items.

A Kerberos based on Cthulhu, with R'lyeh as its Dead Dominion, with a cult of mortal worshippers led by a Hive-Claimed 'grim reaper' Hastur stand-in?

I haven't updated this thread in a long time and lately I'm trying really hard to become less of a lurker (which I sincerely hope it's a good thing), so I feel I should do something about it.

Just making a list of the things and projects I have in mind, for clarity of intents. I find it useful to write it down out here and have it ready to check, in order to fight back and publicly shame my Del Toro-esque lack of focus, yet another of my issues I'd like to solve. If I keep a low profile for a while, odds are I'm working on one of these (or at one of my non-RPG writing efforts, which I'm not gonna list here).

The corollary is that a good idea might take precedence by the sheer power of enthusiasm, but I'm trying to behave and follow the general plans.


Things to do (as they appear in my mental queue)

Chronicles of Darkness

- Deal with disappointment over a game that never happened and start writing elements of the Las Vegas setting I made for a Demon game
- Write some character examples for my Bat Host. Werewolf
- Update to 2nd Edition and write some character examples for the Snake Host. Werewolf
- Assorted NPCs and critters for the various games. Too many ideas floating around, too many antagonists that demand to be. Once I have enough on paper, perhaps make a thread and start posting those. Several gamelines
- Write some elements for the Divine Comedy Promethean expansion I first made ages ago
- Write my own take on the Benandanti. Hunter?
- Update to 2nd Edition and write some character examples for the Locust Host. Werewolf
- Write an expansion to use the Djinn in modern settings. I worked hard and for over a year on them, they deserve better. General Chronicles of Darkness.
- Write those three Hunter Conspiracies that have been in my mind since forever. Though it's probably better to wait for the new core for those.
- Birth of Psychoanalysis Dark Era (Beast and ???)


Then there's Beast, which I gotta to be honest about and call out for the special case it is. Beast stuff happens when it wants, ignores who came before, has no clear order it and it's the Lair I return to everytime I write something different.

- New stuff for the "Incursions from the Primordial Dream" thread.
- All sorts of characters, Horrors, monsters, heroes, Insatiables, Horrorspawns and Dreamborn.
- Same as above, expect for Atavisms, Nightmares, Rites and Merits. Ideally, each comes with a sample character or story hook that showcases it.
- A "Cosmic Horror" expansion pack, with thematic powers and NPCs

If you feel like making that game happen, I'd love in on it :-). But on topic: you have a lot of great material man. I wish I could sit down and start any one of the projects I have thought about.

As far as what to write next, that depends on where inspiration takes you. As far as Las Vegas Demon goes - whenever you get a weird idea, write it down. Demon and the God-Machine do weird stuff great, so many ideas can fit as an Occult Matrix, Cryptid, or whatever. Sometimes just looking at elements and going "how could I incorporate this into Demon" spawns all kinds of ideas.

I know it really does not have much of a link, but it would be a shame not to throw some links to Vampire in the Bat Host write up.

As far as Beast goes, Setting Shards seems to be something that would be nice and currently lacking. The Primordial Dream could also use more oddities and points of interest, either entire Sub-Lairs (think Dungeons, and you might even call them that) contained entirely in the Dream for Beast-only/primarily fun, or things that reflect the Primordial's impact upon the world other than Beasts and Heroes. I mean, take those two away, and would anyone even know the Primordial Dream exists?

Shameless, maybe, but if you wanted to elaborate on the Colleges thread and concept (Kinship to a philosophy or archetype, rather than a monster), feel free.

Since I expect, in a way or the other, to have some more spare time soon and I'm making plans, I was wondering if you think making a sort of personal "Night Horrors" thread would be ok.

I have several unrelated characters to write down and practicing with those while also compiling them in a single place does not seem like a bad idea, but I'm not sure if that would look...dunno, arrogant? Unwarranted? Something like that I can't exactly fathom.

It might be just me worrying too much, nothing unusual, but I had to ask
