  • Let's Make a Beast Together!

I was inspired by another Sites Forum, where somebody has a game where people make dragons together. I thought it would be fun to do the same here

Here's how we'll go about making Beasts.
Step 1- The first person will choose the Beasts Family. (in this case that'll be me)
Step 2- The second person will then choose their Hunger.
Step 3- The Next person will choose the Beasts Life and Legend.
Step 4- The person after that will Distribute their Attributes.
Step 5- The following person will then give them their Skills.
Step 6- Another person will give them their Merits.
Step 7- This person will choose the Beast's Atavisms
Step 8- This next player will choose the Beast's Nightmares
Step 9- This person will bring the Lair Traits.
Step 10- This player will name the beast and give them a description.

Sorry for all these steps but I hope that this will be fun.
For the person who finishes making the beast the cycle will go back to step one and they can choose the family.
And please repeat everything that has been added so far in your post, it makes it easier for the next person to see the stats and such for the beast.

    Anyway, Let us being. ^^

    Family- Eshmaki

I feel like Merits should come second-to-last, considering the broad nature of prerequisites and the normal character creation step-order.

Academics 2, Investigation 3, Occult 1 [free dot], Politics 2
            Empathy 1, Expression 2, Persuasion 2, Socialize 2, Streetwise 2, Subterfuge 2
            Athletics 1, Brawl 1, Larceny 1, Stealth 1

So, it seems like we have two skill sets as well as some early lair dots. Any preferences on which we go with?

Huh whoops, I'd say that the who submitted the skills first we go with and. For the Lair, we can just kind of go with it. But it only become valid when we actually reach the Lair steps.

That seems fair. Anyhow, so far we have:

                    Family: Eshmaki
                    Hunger: Ravager
                    Life: Politician
                    Legend: Devourer
Mental Attributes: Resolve 3, Intelligence 3, Wits 2
Social Attributes: Composure 3, Presence 2, Manipulation 2
Physical Attributes: Strength 2, Dexterity 2, Stamina 2
Mental Skills: Academics 2, Investigation 3, Occult 1*, Politics 2 (Local Politics)
Physical Skills: Larceny 2, Stealth 2
Social Skills: Animal Ken 1, Empathy 2 (Sense Motive), Intimidation 2, Socialize 2, Streetwise 1, Subterfuge 3 (Kind Façade)
                    Lair: 3
                    Lair Traits: Minions

*The first Occult dot being free bcus Beast.

So far our Beast seems pretty nasty. Given the political stuff, the desire to ruin combined with being an Eshmaki, and having minions in their Lair, I could see them as being something of a hidden Puppetmaster. Pulling the strings from the shadows, that kinda thing.

If I am correct, it is time to give them their Atavisms now?
                      In which case;

                      Family: Eshmaki
                      Hunger: Ravager
                      Life: Politician
                      Legend: Devourer
Mental Attributes: Resolve 3, Intelligence 3, Wits 2
Social Attributes: Composure 3, Presence 2, Manipulation 2
Physical Attributes: Strength 2, Dexterity 2, Stamina 2
Mental Skills: Academics 2, Investigation 2, Occult 1*, Politics 2 (Local Politics)
Physical Skills: Larceny 2, Stealth 2
Social Skills: Animal Ken 1, Empathy 2 (Sense Motive), Intimidation 2, Socialize 2, Streetwise 1, Subterfuge 3 (Kind Façade)
                      Lair: 3
                      Lair Traits: Minions?
Atavisms: Alien Mindset (from the Player's Guide), From the Shadows

May I ask which Birthright our creation will have? Since it can't use the one in the corebook effectively (no brawl or weaponry)...

Edit: Hold on, we are a skill dot short in the Mental category. 7 base (for secondary skill category) + 1 Occult for being a Beast

Oops! Yeah I meant Investigation 3, that was an error on my part. And as for Birthright... maybe this one from the Player’s Guide?

”The Eshmaki enflames her victims’ terror with shadowy phantasms sculpted from darkness. Once per chapter, the Lurker can sculpt puppets of shadow and infuse them with her Horror’s malevolence. Roll Manipulation + Expression – Composure. On a success, the victim suf- fers the Shaken Condition. On an exceptional success the victim also suffers the Frightened Condition. On a dramatic failure, the Beast gains the Shaken Condition as the rebuffed Horror turns its rage against her.“

So...roll a chance die to give someone the Shaken condition? Well I agree that the thematical element of the birthright works really well for our concept.

Maybe Thralls as its second Lair Trait? Really make its Lair infested with horrifying lesser monstrosities?
