It was a merit in the earlier previews, but one that partly worked in conjunction with Contracts and enhanced their effects while they were active. Now it's more of a change to a Changeling's base supernatural nature and independent from the use of Contracts.

As I corrected myself after, it's hard to properly call it a nerf since the context it works in changed.

To bring things to the other merits though, Enchanting Performance looks that it will make for some interesting social characters, though it's a bit of a shame that it takes having the full style (which is just 3 dots, to be fair) to really play up the choice of being cruel or kind with this ability to bring the fickle edge of faerie fascination out of your performances.

I was wondering about that. Since the merit indicates it works with a Contract then there must be some remainder to the "elemental" contracts. I think we have to wait to find out how elemental powers will end up.

I liked Diviner better before, getting clues instead of the typical yes/no questions. Also, dreamweaver seems kind of pricy for what it does.

One question though: Burdenback implies that the Fae Mount can only carry a number of individuals with that merit. Does that mean that the benefits of Burdenback are on top of its normal carrying capacity? If not that gets very confusing as to how it works as a mount.
Yes, the benefits of Burdenback are in addition to the mount's normal carrying capacity. I'll make a note to tweak that language when the book comes back from editing.

Yeah, it's capped at five dots. I could see houseruling it to be a motley Merit that allows more than 5 dots to be contributed collectively, so that you could stack on more traits and come up with some kind of truly epic fae beast that's bonded with all of the members, but that's not what it is by default.

I'm assuming Dream Combat works radically different now, because otherwise Dream Warrior is just a bad version of Interdisciplinary Speciality.

I'm just asking this for confirmation:
This isn't the totality of the Changeling merits, right?

Oh. Just noticed at the top that it said it wasn't. Nevermind.

Uhm...did you miss the part where it said [Stat block redacted]?

To be fair about that (it was my observation), the original seemed a bit too powerful, and this version is working on a slightly different perspective. That was the only one that jumped out to me, but there might be some other differences in the remaining previewed styles. Diviner and Parallel Lives are new, far as I remember, and both rather interesting.
