How they are connected to Kiths is anyone's guess. Maybe something to do with Old Vainglory? I hope not since it would probably mean removal of "Dropping the Mask."

So long as there's a damsel in distress kith I'm happy.

Also, I feel as though a court built on desire is going to have its work cut out for it avoiding entanglement with the heart's desires of the fae whose interests connect to that specific bunch of changelings — the Gentry send obsessed suitors and jealous dragons and heist teams on the last job they'll ever need to take, which funnels the range of offense down to a very social-savvy-dependent class of evasion.

I had a follow up thought on Settings, the Scheherazade (Toronto) Freehold Setting has complexity and depth, it'd be perfect for a type of book like Necropolis: Rio was for Mummy.Last edited by Omegaphallic; 11-15-2017, 01:17 PM.

Concerning the kiths, i dont really mind the small number (espacially since we are supposed to be given the mechanics to create more and another book entirely on kiths).
But my questions here is that in your opinions, in regards to kith, can the corebook stand on its own? Are the kiths presented each distinct enough from the other to give a varied list?
Reading the kith i cant help but get the feeling that it is incomplete. Like you would need the extra book of kith to run an interesting game. (Please understand, this is just a feeling based on first impression from reading the manuscript. It is likely to change upon receiving more information on the book and even from rereading it after a week. )
Personnaly, i would shorten each kiths description to add more kiths. My players never had a problem with the short descriptions in 1st ed. Then with the book of kiths you can revisit the kiths of the core with deeper more thorough descriptions.
(I dont mean anything to be taken as a criticism of the effort put into the project. Everything i read so far shows that it is clearly a work of passion and love and i have full confidence that i will be happy with the end product.)
Completed campaign: Scion 2nd Edition. Les Légendes Currently playing: Being a dad for a 3 year old daughter and a 2 years old son and now a beautiful new baby.

When I first saw that there were only 12 kiths, I was sorely disappointed.
Then I read the rules, and the consistency of power between them.
I loved it.
One of the things that really bothered me with the Underhill preview was the lack of internal balance; some kiths were simply better, no questions asked.
With the current, more structured system that has been fixed, and with a solid framework for how they are handled, mechanically, I'm really excited to get my hands on the full rules!
The only thing bothering me still is the lack of rules for flying, swimming, or burrowing kiths. I would have loved a precedent on how to go about making something like that.
