  • A psychic kith

Would it be overpowered to create a kith that could purchase supernatural merits and fuel them with glamour?

    Freely? It might be.

You could have them purchase Supernatural Merits, fuel them with Willpower (which is normal), and have the kith convert Glamour to Willpower.

(2 or 3 Glamour to Willpower would be appropriate--start high and then take a Merit to make it more efficient?)

Ironically since normal Willpower regain is linked to a good night's rest in mortals, the kith could link to gentle repose in some fashion (Sandman?).

Overpowered would be subjective. But it does go against the guide for creating custom Kiths where you're supposed to get a unique power rather than an advantage like the ability to buy Supernatural Merits. I would rather take a single Supernatural Merit and modify it until it was strong enough to be a Kith Trickery.

This discussion begs the question, are Changelings explicitly prohibited from purchasing Supernatural Merits in the first place?

Yep, right there in character creation:

As well, consult the extensive list of Lost-specific Merits on p. 111.

Yeah; generally all of the major gameline splats are prohibited from getting any of those Merits. They're only for mortal characters.

I don't think granting access to Mortal Supernatural Merits is appropriate for a kith blessing, but it might be appropriate for a Court Mantle (similar to the Coils of Zirnitra from Secrets of the Covenants) or by being replicated through Goblin Contracts.

The underhill previews included a kith called the Grey that could use the Telepathy merit, and a few other kiths that worked sort of the same way; that is to say they would get one (usually three dot) supernatural merit that tied into their theme.

You would have to rework them a bit to match up with current kiths but it's not that difficult of a port in most cases. If it's something you want to do I don't think it's going to throw "balance" off that much, most supernatural merits aren't that potent, and many are outclassed by contracts with similar but more powerful effects.

Umm, aren't there already kiths with supernatural merits? Isn't there a kith with telepathy, one with clairvoyance, and another with a cures effect?

Not in the final version and not outside the context of a single unified concept, setting aside the fact that those were pretty clearly not actually "these kiths have these Supernatural Merits" so much as "these kiths have abilities mechanically similar to these Supernatural Merits."

So Chatelain no longer has protection against supernatural powers that would cause her to make a faux pause, Grey's no longer have the three dot telepathy merit, and Oracles no longer have the ability to look into the future?

Nope. They just need less successes to get an Exceptional Success on Empathy test to "determine a target's true desires" and they can use other character's Social Merits as if they were their own. And that's it.

An official version of Greys and Oracles in this version of CtL2e currently do not exist, so we have no idea.

Do Grave Wrights exist? If so, how has their blessing been edited?

And your description of the Chatelain kith's blessing makes me wonder how the Dear Hearts Blessing has changed.

There are only 12 kiths in the corebook: Artist, Bright One, Chatelaine, Gristlegrinder, Helldiver, Hunterheart, Leechfinger, Mirrorskin, Nightsinger, Notary, Playmate, and Snowskin. Helldiver and Notary, I believe, are brand new kiths to CtL period.

More kiths are planned for the upcoming supplement "Kith and Kin", but thus far (as far as I know) it hasn't been revealed which kiths will be in it. Nevermind which 1e kiths, or Underhill kiths will be appearing in them, if at all.
