    "Clarity attacks" are my next house-ruling target as another thing in the system that seems needlessly unwieldy - "roll attack, and then damage" feels very OWoD, and it seems a strange exception to have a two stage attack roll. Nevermind the fact that a Wyrd 1 Changeling with a Touchstone will almost never take any Clarity damage.

    Anyone else already worked up any house rules for Clarity attacks they like better?

    The double roll system is definitely inelegant and I'd prefer something more streamlined, but tbh the current system does have its advantages. It makes it so that everyone has an equal chance of failing the breaking point (given equal contexts for the breaking point) while pushing up the damage for high Wyrd characters. If one would want to replicate that result you'd probably have to resort to a table based on Wyrd to determine the amount of Clarity damage taken, but at the loss of variable damage.

    Edit: Since the damage is based on Wyrd, a table would just be Wyrd/3 with adjustments to make the low end actually cause damage at all.
