A few questions for people who have pledged on previous CofD Kickstarters: what are these hardcovers like? Are they worth the cost quality-wise? Have you used them at the table, or do you see them more as collector's items?

        Reading the preview:

Not a criticism, but, uh, how many fans of shonen and seinen are there at Onyx Path? Because this is the most gleefully hot-blooded thing they've ever done. There's even lore justified season progression (the Web of Pain, the realization the evil organization you just crushed has superiors and/or lieutenants that want to reform it, or worse rivals).

If you have any of the first edition CofD core books, they're a lot like those. Metallic finish on the cover, sometimes raised lettering, sturdy binding, glossy pages.

I'd say getting the KS version is worth it. It's often a better deal than the POD options, and for a much nicer quality. They can be used at the table pretty easily, too (unlike the deluxe WoD books, for example, which I find are more collector's items).

Dude, this occurred to me pretty early on with all of the dev previews. I don't mind it, lol.

They’re very nice in my experience and have held up (much better than the PoD versions).

Yes, I have the old CtL corebook. It sounds pretty nice, actually.

My only point of comparison is my EX3 deluxe edition, which is a synth-leather behemoth shedding gilt dust.

Yeah, the WoD ones are also leatherette/gilded jobs. Deviant will definitely more table ready than Ex3!

I find my mind dissecting Symphogear and Honkai Impact 3rd regarding this.

                    Interesting.

“To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts” (season just concluded on Crunchyroll): in a variant on a post-Civil War setting, a Devoted Epimorph hunts down and kills former comrades who are now Renegade Epimorphs to prevent them from going Feral. He is driven by Loyalty to the memory of his Progenitor and to a baseline Hunter companion.

I haven't started reading the preview yet but I'm making a post in this thread so I can more easily find it later.

Also super damn excited. Currently only have the money to back the 5$ level (i'm not even mad though because the budget went to relatively good seats to seeing Ghost live) but will likely up it to the usual physical copy later.

                            SUPER Excite!

so quick question. does anyone know if the PoD version is going to be hardcover? Because as much as I want the deluxe hardcover I do not have that kind of money(I want to splurge on Hunter.)
