Passion Marionette acitvation

Hi,
if I have already active Passion marionette on someone (the passion marionette still active for one scene), can I activate it on another one and keep it active on both?

"A sin eater may activate two or more manifestations simultaneously with different keys, but he cannot activate the same manifestation with more than one key without terminating the earlier activation." GtSE p.114.

This rule only covers the use of a manifestation across multiple keys, not the use of multiple instances of a single manifestation with a single key. I'm currently playing at a table where you can't unlock two separate instances of passion marionette, for example, but I've also played at tables where you can.

The second part of your quote literally says you can't activate a manifestation more than once even if you do have more than one Key available.

Maybe we're interpreting this differently. Yes, it reads the same manifestation with more than one key. Opening passion marionette twice is opening the same manifestation twice with a single key.

I assumed that since it mentioned multiple Keys it would apply the same on the same Key multiple times if not addressed in the book. Turns out it's actually addressed in the book:
"Multiple Unlocks: Characters may only unlock a Haunt with one Key at a time. They may unlock a Haunt with multiple instances of the same Key, but only the free Plasm and the Doomed Condition stack."

No, you can't apply the Marionette Haunt on more than one person in that way. You can use the same Key for multiple unlocks, but don't get to use multiple instances of the Haunt if you do.
You can still use the second dot effect to apply Marionette on multiple people by cancelling the first use (by breaking line of sight should be the easiest way) and then reactivating it on both characters.
