I don't want to start another "mages are OP" or "the one percent template" thread. But I wonder, how many of the abilities/powers of the other supernaturals can be replicated with awakened magic, even in a different, less direct way as they do?

Well. All of them. Give us an example and we can try to translate it to arcana ratings. Looks like a fun exercise.

Let's start with something fun.
Two 2ed Ed Changeling Contracts:
Discret Conjuration and Hidden Reality
Discret Conjuration (3 dot contract)
The character reaches into a small location she cannot see into, such as a handbag or a drawer and pulls out an item no larger of Size 1. This item can be anything the character has seen or handled before. The item is the most basic of its kind, but fully functional and ready to use — a camera takes pictures, a smartphone can make calls and access a wi-fi connection, and a gun shoots bullets from its fully loaded clip. Objects created this way cannot have special qualifier, such as a gun having special types of ammunition loaded in, or water that has been blessed. No matter what item the character conjures forward, it cannot carry a value higher than what could be purchased with Resources 3.
Hidden Reality (4 dot contract)
The character changes some feature of her surrounding that was not previously obvious and so might have been present naturally. For example, she may create a hidden latch on a box to allow her to open it, a wall outlet behind a table, or a window or door behind a curtain. In all cases, the change must be reasonable and relatively minor in scope. A new door in a wall must lead to the other side of the wall, and not to the outside. Anything she creates or changes must be considered a part of an object, such as a lock on a door, a door in a room, or a window to a car. All changes vanish after one scene or if no one is paying attention to it.
Wizened characters may create objects that could reasonably be found in a room or building, as long as she cannot see into the room or building she is performing this Contract in. She may find a set of keys on a nearby table, or a car parked in the garage.Last edited by Horodrigo; 04-17-2017, 10:06 AM.

To take the biggest one I can- how would a mage replicate the Utterance that makes meteors rain down over several miles (away from books, don't know the name off hand).
Also, how can a mage replicate "able to use my powers in a nightclub without the spell decaying and Cuthlhu eating me" haha sick burn.

Mages can use their powers anywhere no matter how packed with Sleepers if the results of those powers won't be obvious.

For the later, just keep the magic use subtle - it doesn't provoke Dissonance if people don't realize magic is going on.

The "over several miles" part thing is just about scale and range, but meteor strike? I have been wondering what a Fate 3 direct damage spell could look like. And there you go. Meteor strike, Fate 3, 1 bashing damage per Potency, as small meteorites that are falling all the time just happen to fall in the right direction. Generally they burn out in their atmospheric entry, but some sometimes survive, small though they be.
Alternatively, Fate 3 version of the Forces 3 spell Call Lightning, Call Meteor - same thing, only during a meteor shower, not a storm.

Let's start with the basics.
How you would copy the passive powers each splat has?
Vampire: Downgrade lethal dmg, has a bite attack that can harm or cause pleasure, addictive and healing blood.
Werewolf: Enhanced senses, 5 different forms, can Reach and talk to spirits.
Changeling: Can seal Oaths, has a Kith and a Mien(and a Mask to not be detected as inhuman), can enter the Hedge.

1. Death Shielding (Death armor already does this)
2. Life 3 for the Bite, Mind for the induced emotion/sensation
3. Mind for addiction. Maybe Matter to turn saliva into a drug.
4. Life 3 for healing.

3. Spirit Arcana

2. ???
3. Mind for mental illusion, maybe Prime (or a mix of the two)
4. Fate 5 has been said to make Hedge Gates.Last edited by Vent0; 04-17-2017, 02:02 PM.

Add some Forces for tracking soundwaves and wi-fi signals.
Time to ignore the penaltys due to the age of the trail.
And, of course, Space, to get Sympathy and find the subject.
This can also be done just with Space, but I wanted to use more arcanas for the flavor.
