    Weaving changes something within an Arcanum's purview without transforming the entirety of its being. Weaving them into a state of magical slumber seems plausible.

    • Ruling lets you do everything to the target that is within the scope of its normal capabilities. Sleep is a normal mind function.

        • Can the water flow uphill?

          Ruling spells grant fuller control over phenomena than a
          mere Compelling spell. Water can be made to flow uphill
          or into unnatural shapes (Matter), animals (or even human
          beings) can be commanded (Life or Mind), or time can be
          momentarily made to accelerate or slow down (Time). A
          Ruling spell can’t fundamentally alter its target’s abilities:
          Water can be directed, but not turned solid or gaseous.
          Time can be altered, but not overwritten. An animal can
          be commanded, but not made stronger or fiercer.
          If you could force yourself to sleep or you are sleepy you would need just a Compelling spell.

          • Psychic Domination can force a target to fall asleep. So making a spell that puts a target to sleep is Ruling.

              Maybe I should specify that this spell puts them in what is essentially, a coma? They can't be roused as easily just normal sleep, until the Duration elapses?

              • I was thinking about a lesser form of 'Turn Momentum' I could use until I have the experience dots to invest more into forces. Would a veiling spell be sufficient if the spell doesn't reflect attacks backwards?

                      That's not how Veiling works, you could use Shielding to block the momentum of incoming attacks. Think Neo when he stops all the bullets being fired at him in midair and they sit there for a moment before dropping.

                          Primary Factor: Potency
                          Suggested Rote Skills: Animal Ken, Empathy, Survival
                          Gain a number of dots in an animal training fighting style (such as Falconry or K-9) equal to Potency for the Duration of this spell.
                          +1 Reach: Including an animal as a Subject of this spell circumvents the training period required to benefit from the Merit. If the Subjects do not share the Bonded Condition (or another fitting Condition such as Familiar) they both gain the Bonded Condition for the Duration of the spell.

                          • Any ideas for Forces spells to manipulate electronics, cybernetics, and the internet in general? Wanted to do a version of the Virtual Adepts with Forces as the third Ruling and Space as optional, but the existing Forces spells are quite lacking.

                              I want to put more to this but I'm unsure what further it can have.





                              Open Avernian gate (Death 2 ruling), Improvised creative thaumaturgy

                              Primary factor: Duration
                              Effect: Through the mastery of death you present a key to one of the many barred gates to the underworld. You apply the gateway condition(pg.260) to a location by forcing a present Avernian Gate to act as though its required key has been presented.

                              I'm unsure of any reach effects that'd fit this spell.
