I'm not quite sure if I get what you said by "weakening the Legacy". This conversion was made to work with a write-up I also did for the Elemental Masteries as a Nameless Order, so you can probably expect 2E conversions for the other Tamer Legacies as well.

On the other hand, I do have to agree that a Tamer of Fire would be a good foil to a Tremere Lich. And I've seen and read enough on modern politics that I have a good idea what you mean On a related note, a character concept for a Champion whose day job is that of a Social Worker also works in my opinion.

No reason it shouldn't much like a AA public defender. That concept could fit and of Big 6 orders or a Nameless faction mage. What I mean is given the fact that it's a large Nameless order and in the Big 6 with no real issues is the fact that it's flexible, and not so specialized sometimes to practical uselessness which makes anybody wonder why bother if your knacks aren't broadly applicable. Just like any decent legacy obulation should be given you are forcibly mutilating your soul by many accepted definitions.
