This is actually awesome. I'll give it a hard try! Thank you very much!

If possible it would also be nice if checking the "Instant Cast" "Adv. Duration" etc. boxes at the bottom, would increment the "Reaches" number so that you don't accidentally count them multiple times.

      Hey jmkoontz1980,

I thought about allowing the addition of more paradox die, but since this is something that is typically easily added I felt it was not something critical to casting the spell and is actually handled by the storyteller. I felt that the casting duration/potency/scale and other factors were far more important to include since you need to consult a chart to determine each individual factor versus Paradox is pretty easily remembered with the new rules.

As for the reaches, when you select Instant Cast and Advanced Duration the Reaches are automatically incremented and factored into whether or not the spell risks paradox. The "Reaches" Counter are for things that are not covered by commonly used reach effects and I felt it would create confusion to add when a user checked "Instant Casting" and so forth to this number because then you would lose track of what additional reaches you were using and you could lower the reach count using the GUI to remove the reaches associated with Instant Casting and Advanced Duration on accident. So, basically, it was a much more ease of use and less human error design to not add the Instant Casting and other effects to the "Reaches" Counter.

Could you add ability to calculate dice for Combined Spell (basically, add a "Combined Spells" factor, with -2 dice for each) and a line displaying Scale in form of Area/Size, in addition to possible subjects? Other than that, it's pretty much perfect and it really speeds up the game (as I am the only person who memorized factor tables); only thing that popped up was the "I want to cast a combined spell, how do I input that -2 penalty?" and the fact that Rote Quality and 9/8 Again aren't mutually exclusive.

Wait, what? Are these supposed to be exclusive?

What I meant to say is that they are mutually exclusive in the calculator (you can't have Rote Quality 9again at the same time), sorry for confusion.

What does it say you can't have rote quality and 9again at the same time?

The calculator doesn't allow you to do that. If you pick 9 again and then try to apply Rote Quality, it cancels 9 (or 8) again and applies Rote Quality.

This IS awesome! But in the spirit of wanting someone else to do all the work for me, I have a Mac, and I'm not about to use BootCamp for this. Is there any chance you can write a version that's OSX- or iOS-friendly? Or host it on a site so everyone can use it in a browser?

I too thought the masses needed an app for this as soon as I saw the spell process, but I'm a QA tester, not a developer. I can only break.

Just noticed that the Indefinite button doesn't work.

                      Hey griffalo,

It does work if Advanced Duration is applied, which I believe is the intent. I don't believe there is a way to make Indefinite without having Advanced Duration.

                      WHW,

I will look into creating a combined spell, though I feel that may in itself be a project of its own since there are a few options you can do with Combined Spells such as having different spell factors for each spell.

Have you tried using Mono to run the program?

                      Thanks

Swinging back by to say that this is definitely awesome. Been using it to double check some spell numbers when things got complex in my current game.
95% usable in its current state, the only real bug is that 9-again/Rote issue.

                          Hey Inodiv,

Glad this is still working great! What bug do you mean?

I can't download the calculator at this time, but I will try later. I don't see where it calculates the Casting time. dose it do that. I.E. every Yantra beyond the first ads another turn to the casting time, casting from a grimiore doubles the ritual time, you can get 1 extra dice per casting interval during ritual casting. ETC.

                              Hey Hardwire99,

No, it does not currently calculate casting time, just the spell casting factors at the moment. Try this link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4697fb2oy...UyfCVGgfa?dl=0

                              That one should work

This is great, I was thinking about something like this during our last session, thanks so much for sharing.
