I am never ashamed to admit if I make a mistake or apologize for it - you have followed me long enough to know this. Our very first serious conversation ever involved me being almost embarrassingly apologetic to you after all.

And I will be honest, any lesson from you is often misguided and unnecessary due
to some misplaced sense of moral obligation or a well meaning attempt to mediate over a situation that is hampered by a lack of understanding on the point you are trying to get across.

Let me be perfectly blunt as I rarely get to be so: this has nothing to do with you. You do not speak for ArcaneArts in any way, unless you are Sean himself. Now unless I am mistaken; You are not his parent, nor his spouse/ significant other, or any type of person who might have some authority to speak on his behalf on any matter. He’s an adult who can talk to me and work this out on his own.

Not liking me is fine, I understand that, but since I had no idea that he had me on a ignore list, it is very presumptive to assume that I will know what’s happening on his side of the screen, especially since I have never been given a message requesting that I stop responding to him. If he ever does that, I will be the first to apologize and aquiesce to all his requests to ignore him/ leave him be, and go my separate way. Passive aggressive, snide comments aren’t going to do anything but make the other party hurt, or pissed.

So do not ever demand that I show respect to someone’s boundaries if they are going to be consistently hostile and rude to me in response to simply quoting them. Respect is a two way street, and should ever just be given if it isn’t reciprocated. So unless you are going to lay into him for being rude as well, this post tells me that you are either unaware of what mutual respect really means, or you are defending a person that you simply like compared to me, or you honestly don’t actually care about what you are saying and are just stroking your own ego behind a false sense of moral and social superiority.

And if that is the case, I will ask you to stay out of this and go on your way, because clearly you are a hypocrite who doesn’t practice what he preaches.

But if you actually have good intentions, I understand and apologize to you.
    It's a nice gesture but I wouldn't bother.

Not returning to the forums, just stopping in for a moment. CofD not getting books so we can get fed WoD5e is an insult.

Welp, since I can see the response now, two things.

      1) I've told Korogra several times over he's ignored. I can't help it if he doesn't remember me telling him.

      2) Satchel and I hang out enough that basically you can trust him to have the measure of my opinion. I'm not saying he always speaks for me, but you can generally trust that we're in alignment unless one or the other of us clarifies otherwise (and odds are Satchel is right in those instances). And besides, he doesn't need to be speaking for me to call out someone being an asshole. Point is, if someone needs me to say that Satchel had the right of it above hand, here's me saying it. They shouldn't, though, because the saliency of his commentary doesn't need my rubber stamp, or anyone else's for that matter.

Anyways, something something furries something something don't jam your clam with Amkhata?

I am now putting some idle thought into how portrayals of Bast and Sobek might be of use for the gameplay and narrative of Curse. Arguably every god brought up in the game so far have had bearing on the existence of the Arisen, like with how Khepera relates to kepher and such.

(Maybe not Liquidity and Aridity, though I'll admit, those are entities I want to know more about.)

As they factor hard into my worship, I’d love to see the messy mythical overlap where Bast-Sekhmet-Hathor are sort of all the same goddess sometimes.

If there is a place to play around with that, it'd be Curse. Honestly, there's probably a pre-Naquada interpretation begging for use.

There’s something distinctly Curse about the idea of domesticating a feral war goddess.

I think interesting questions get raised, considering the animal associations with each of the Guilds, as well as the visual appearances of Arisen when they're using some of their transformational powers.

Since Ra was considered the Nameless Lion at that time, I suspect Bast and company may tie into him via the Eye of Ra myth. basically, he was convinced or tricked to bestow his power on another entity and promptly drove it insane. Maybe by insights seen on the Scroll of Ages?

yeah Bastet was a savage War goddess before becoming a motherly Hawt cat girl. kind of like how Set was a Good guy before Egypt got invaded. Set was the God of Foreigners and to add insult to injury the new ruling class got really in to Set worship.

i do not know how and why Bastet got tamed do

I've actually toyed with the concept of Sobek in M:tC as a force of balance of some sort- a circle of creation and destruction which devours civilizations to bring allow new ones to grow. Some kind of "anti Ammut" in the respect that it brings death to fertilize life, and grow life in order to feed death, a manifestation of the dual Rivers which Sutekh cried as he lost his eyes.

Probably shares a few aspects with Apocalypse's Wyrm, even though I haven't thought about it while writing the homebrew on the subject. Either it was subconsciously, or that it is just a commonly used theme *shrugs*

Metaphor for the conquest of Egypt by the Greeks, one of it's great War Lion Goddess defenders gets domesticated and erotized, symbolizing the taming of Egypt, while Sekmet remains focused on War, Symboling Egypt can never be tamed completely.

Not sure how this applies to Irem exactly, but it popped into my head.

                          Sobek is mentioned in DE2.

Maybe in Iremite Mythology they could end up tied to the lore of Immortals or Minor Guilds.

I ask this question entirely too much.
