It happened. Can't say I haven't thought about it myself, either.
We all have bad days, and I like to think most of us don't mean to share them forcibly.
Sorry if I came off too hard on you.

Not saying anything about you, but a lot people were salty about not getting the Book of Going Westward back in first edition.

That said, the Storyteller's Vault is an option, if we want to write it ourselves.
Sorry. I just was not ready for it.

I remember that in one of the Podcasts Matthew mentioned in a discussion about Spilled Blood that the Everlasting sounds like something really fitting for Mummy that he may want to mention in Book of Lasting Death. I do not know if he actually did something with it, but considering that the Everlasting ARE very, very fitting for Mummy, I do hope that they were included. I guess I'll have to wait and see :P

I did not receive a wa4ning, so I am probably not in trouble, but waiting until I do seems rude at best.

On the topic of Immortals, I can say that none of the detailed ones in the corebook are revised HERE. Though there are a number of newly detailed ones for player usage. Oh and [REDACTED] makes a comeback

I'm very much looking forward to the Reborn. I love the idea of playing a person who discovers memories of not just one old life but a sequence of them and then realizes that death doesn't stop them as they discover old powers begining to awaken and they realize that they don't have to start from scratch. Maybe through in some timey whimey stuff so that the can interact with old lives in fun ways or maybe add in power growth in this life and there is much potential.

But yeah, its the Reborn out of all the other immortals that I LOVE the best. Especially the whole ability of them to gain Sekhem scores in the good way (that is 1 to 10) and also potentially Pillars and also multiple 'mortal only' supernatural powers.

So while mummies are great I'm almost equally or more excited about other immortals.

A new example: A meret of three mummies goes through three Descents together during 1932, 1991 and 2044.
Mummy A experiences the Descents in chronological order: 1932->1991->2044
Mummy B experiences the Descents in this order: 1932->2044->1991
Mummy C experiences the Descents in reverse chronological order: 2044->1991->1932

During the Descent of 1932, C has already experienced two out of three Descents and knows the entire history of the meret, and is the one who convinces A and B to join up in the first place.
During the Descent of 1991, everyone already knows each other and the cooperation flows relatively smoothly.
During the Descent of 2044, C is the only one who has never met any of the others before despite C being the one who formed the meret; it just hasn't happened to C yet.

All three Descents are experienced together by the whole meret, but each individual experiences them in their own order. That's the entire point of the section of text you talked about on page 79.
Wait. So really? I didn't realize that one could have player mummies also be out of since with each other. (Like how the Doctor and River Song seem to be at opposite ends of their timelines.) This idea is really really brilliant to me.

    ---

As a note I am really looking forward to seeing the 'new' or I guess I should say updated version of the book based on feedback and goals because I think its going to be brilliant. That and having access to a table of contents and such to find stuff easier.

Regarding changes to the corebook, will it be corrected that the Arisen refer to other immortals as the "endless"? I noticed in their section that it called them the Timeless instead

I suspect people will be pretty happy with what's ended up in the Book of Lasting Death - just wish I could tell you all about it already, but sadly we all need to wait a bit longer

Praise the storyteller vault! But seriously, I'm just happy with what we got, it honestly did better than I thought considering how niche Mummy is
