[2E] Feeding by shadow - New power?

So I got literally this night idea - Option for Kindred to drink Vitea of their victims not by themselves - but by vampires own shadow. You normally talk or work and then your shadow pass on to human - and you drink Vitea from him. It maybe not drinking literal blood of him, but maybe just more like 'life energy' that Vitea in the end is. Is power like that already in VtR 2E? If no - how to make this to work with the game?

Interesting, could even be the cornerstone for a Bloodline, or the basis for a Devotion.

I've not seen anything like that.

I lke it. Sounds like a Mekhet or possibly Nosferatu bloodline. As for mechanics, you could take a look at Breath-Drinking from Mythologies.

Or, the vampire could detach their shadow and send it out to retrieve life energy.
There's lots of different folklore about shadows being a semi physical reflection of the soul. Or the representation of the dark side of one's character.

Well, I have made (with help from Arcanist and Deionscribe) a lost Clan called the Mumvuri, which their special shtick is that instead of feeding through the Kiss, they feed through shadowy, strix-like entities which drink the breath of their victims and transfer it to their host. I got today thinking that this 'shadow feeding' also resonates more with Strix than normal Kindred. Maybe special 'trick' for Strix controlled vampire then?

Glad you like them. I'm kind of proud of my Mumvuri, and as the Lasombra were actually my main inspiration for them it felt appropriate to bring them up :P

I could see something like that being worked simply enough with thhe Khaibit bloodline's Obtenebration discipline or through a Hollow Mekhet's wandering Ka, i guess.
