    1) A recent assassination attempt on the prince orchestrated by the Belial's Brood has succeeded. What this means is that the city currently doesn't have anything resembling a government for vampires.

The PCs are free to do anything they want without fear of reprisal - break the Masquerade, kill anyone they want, Embrace anyone they want.

Of course, the same applies to the few other vampires who're still left.

    2) A local member of the Ordo Dracul claims a breakthrough in his research. His claim is that he explain and reverse the Curse scientifically. The Circle and the Sanctum both oppose this "Breakthrough" as it undermines their own beliefs in the vampiric race.

      3) The Ordo Dracul has found a mortal (Timoteuz Hale male, 26, unemployed) who's entirely immune to Disciplines, the Vinculum and Blood Addiction. There's no explanation - the powers of the Blood simply don't work on him.

Timmy is currently living an ordinary, unremarkable life - this will change very soon.

        4) They dug too deep, the Kine of the city speak of seeing owls at night, many more than ever before. Nobody remembers really seeing them flying into town, nobody can recall such a migration... but the Oil Rigs in the distance light up the sky as they burn off the pressurized gas before pumping begins.

        What have they done.

          5) One of the PC's mortal relatives has been ghouled by a rival. The rival doesn't know about her ghoul's relations to the PC, yet.

            6) The blood of the city's Kindred has begun to thicken uncontrollably. Elders quickly find themselves turning into veritable gods of blood and even neonates and ancillae are soon unable to feed from mortals. What is causing this strange event and how can it be stopped before Kindred society as we know it breaks down. Should it even be stopped?

VII ) Kindred reading the city's evening newspaper less than delighted to see the front page headline "BLOODLESS BODY FOUND IN CITY CENTRE".

                8) A Ven socialite using the Blush of Life to hold down food for appearance's sake at a new posh restaurant finds that the wine there replenishes Vitae. When she goes to investigate, she finds that the staff there are strangely immune to vampiric mind influence. Time for another approach to get to the bottom of this, and find out how to capitalize on it.

                  9) Vampires have been going missing downtown. An investigator tasked by the city's night council has identified a common factor: each vampire had fed at a club known in underground circles for proliferating a new street drug. Who's distributing it, and do they know what they have? What is it they really have, anyway?

                    10) Autumn brings the early dark, and local Kindred have become aware of an Orphanage where children play a game called "Prince of the Playground" at dusk. They wear piecemeal costumes of castaway adult garments. They form cliques, politicking for control of the slide, the merry-go-round, the swings, the sandbox. They use words like "Venture," "Gangrel," and "the Masquerade." Several children hold one down, tickling him. Howling with laughter, he shrieks, "Better stop that, or the Beast will get you!" Where did they learn to act like this? Who taught them? It's eerie how their movements mimic the Danse Macabre...like a miniature mummers play.

                      11) The Prince went missing. All of his known political enemies deny any responsibility or knowledge of what happened. After fruitless investigation the city holds an election to find a successor. The winner turns out to be an unknown Kindred that only recently arrived in the Domain. The newcomer is quickly accused of election fraud or being responsible for the Prince's absence, but these are quickly squashed by use of Auspex, the newcomer being very co-operative in the investigation.

After officially taking over Praxis the new Prince announces he will do all he can to turn the Kindred society of the city into a well-oiled machine. Its gears grinding for the greatest benefit of all.

                        12) Life as a kindred in the city is great. Crime is high, industry going strong, lots of people move in and out of town, and the police have about as much of a clue as a blind, deaf and mute Sherlock Holmes. And then something changes. Over night the city newspapers begin reporting, with precision, on the people the kindred have made vanish. Every single one, and only them. They're all called "mysterious disappearances", and it only takes five days before they start calling it a conspiracy, and on the sixth open discussion begins in the city. "How are we to find and punish whoever is responsible?"
The strange thing? Any attempts at stopping them from writing the stories, from dominating editors, charming reporters or even killing folks, fail to produce the intended result.

                          13) A hot new band is making the rounds in the city, selling out shows all over town. You wouldn't think a group with a name like "Amaranth" would be such a hot ticket but tracks with titles like "Beast's Kiss" and "Blood Doll" seem to be real crowd pleasers. The local vampire population isn't too pleased though. Already one or two concerned Kindred have tried to investigate but haven't been heard from since. Who are these people? Why is their music full of Kindred jargon? And why does everyone say their lead singer is "Mesmerising"?

                            14) A Nomad shows up at Court claiming to have inside knowledge from and unimpeachable, but unverifiable, source. She may be prophet of the Sanctified or the Circle delivering revelation from the devine, or maybe a deep cover agent of the Carthian movement who can't risk identifying a valuable source. The outsider claims that members of Belial's Brood have infiltrated the Prince's government and are preparing to instigate mass chaos in the domain. What the local Kindred don't know is that the outsider is a professional agitator who pulls this same scheme in countless domains across the world to allow marginalized Covenants to attack the establishment with near impunity. What the outsider doesn't know is that this time, it's true. And with the domain alerted to their plot, the Brood just escalated their time table.
