Being antagonistic isn't necessary or helpful here, Malus. We have few enough people making conversions or, really, anything werewolf related.

As it is written in the book yes it does, then just remove stamina from the roll and voila.

Not all players are familiar to the 2nd edition rules. no regeration in gauru sorry, this facet is specifically for that purpose. Plus in order for the facet to work you must sink claw or fang to flesh and deal damage while establishing a grapple, which can happen only in the 3 woolf like forms and maybe to the more human ones with partial transformation, if you have the wolf facet.
Edit done

You need to spend essence for every time you use it so its fine. Lucky urshul that has one free use.

Well the facet is intended to be used against prey, not packmates. in order for a packmate to become target for this facet he must become hostile to the gift user. Its an aura gift so it prob should affect all targets in 10 yard radious per Honor, that sounds better.

Nyaaahh savage must be savage even to the spirit ways.

Ok everyone, here's the moment you were all waiting for!
Gift of the Slayer Wolf
Shifting Urge (Cunning): The gift may be used while shapeshifting in urshul or urhan, spend 1 Essence (R) and roll manipulation+ subterfuge + Cunning - Stamina + Primal Urge, the enemy takes the form the character just shifted in and stays in that form for as along as the gift user remains also in that same form.
Exceptional Success: the prey gains the Stunned tilt.
Rip Apart (Glory): The werewolf must initiate a grapple with fangs and claws and make damage at the same time, as long as his fangs and claws rip the victim appart while grappling, its wounds may not be healed by any means, if the victim manages to break free its wounds may be healed normally, the effects of the gift are permanent.
Presence of the Slayer Wolf (Honor): Spend one essence (Inst) and roll Presence + Intimidatikon + Honor. Any one who sees the gift user and fails a Composure + Primal Urge gains the Demoralized condition which cannot be resolved as long as the victim is in the user's presence.
Exceptional Success: The victim enters basu-im and runs away from the gift user. Victims allready in basu-im instinctively run away.
Brutality (Purity): Spend on essence (reflexive) any time you make a bite or claw attack, your attack, deals a tilt on one of enemy's limbs. choose arm wrack, or legg wrack tilt. You simply don't need to make a Specified target attack.
Savage Spirit (Wisdom): With a vicious snapping of the werewolf's jaws, one essence point and a roll of intelligence + occult + Wisdom ( Instant) vs composure + Primal Urge, the prey gains the Essence Overload condition for the rest of the scene.
Exceptional Success: The werewolf gains one essence point every turn, for one turn per wisdom renown he owns.Last edited by Story Letter; 10-10-2017, 12:02 PM.

Originally posted by Story Letter View PostWhy not? Afterall this is what this topic is about. Afterall it is about the conversion of a first edition of a tribal gift to the second edition. This is the core theme of the topic. It has a descent follow so far.
Look, werewolves are not hunting only one prey,or only their sacred prey, its just that so far there is not a tribal gift list that boosts their tribal sacred hunting, appart from that, a sacred prey gift list its just another mood element, that you may or may not include in a setting, like anything else in the game. If the rituals are enough for you for example, fine by me, afterall there is a level 5 ritual that allows you to do aggravated to werewolves, you can easily make variations of it for each tribe and allow them to make aggravated to their favored prey.
Also gifts are not that open, not more than the old edition, you are not likely to see a hunter in darkness with weather gifts or a blood talon with elemental gifts. Not that it can't happen but it needs far great effort in roleplaying and experience, like in the old edition, if you find a spirit and you are able to convince it you can gain any gift, given that it is not a Moon gift.
That said I think you're really overestimating the rarity of getting Gifts outside of your lodges affinity, as well as how much effort and Experience it takes. It just takes two more Experience dots to open the Gift and a sacred hunt. Once you get that down extra facets cost the same as Affinity Gifts would. My own character had two non-Affinity Gifts, with five facets between them. All of the example werewolves in the book have multiple Non-Affinity Gifts.
