Two new packs ideas I have, that needs names for them...

    ??? ( ??? )

Pack of Hunters in Darkness and Iron Masters werewolves, looking over various markets and trade in Constantinople from exotic threats for it – like Hosts in bales of silk ( threat of Azlu spiders ) or in grains storages ( threat of Beshilu rats ) – or humans trafficking with things they should no. / Important fact – Grand Bazaar as we know is from Turkish times, started in 1456 AD. Before that all Byzantine markets were open under sky. /

    ??? ( ??? )

Pack of Blood Talons and Iron Masters werewolves, looking over chariots demes – medieval sport-political ‘clubs’ for charioteers teams, that were much importance in day-to-day life of lower rungs of Empire’s society. After famous Nika Riots in 532 AD that destroyed almost half of Constantinopole and previous cathedral – Forsaken understood they need to look over ‘demes rioters’, to judge they dangers to people, especially from threats of Shadow and Uratha in their midst. Members are often infiltrate demes teams, literally changing colors – and skins.

Lighting Eagle was Roman symbol. Byzantine one was Eagle on the Staff, without Lighting. I have a small problem with calling Blood Talons wolves as 'Court' - they are not so 'dyplomatic' for that, going always for duels. I went with 'Assembly of Eagles' name for this pack - in greek: Synélefsi ton Aetón.

Can always use the name of an NPC for them, the Scions of Lycurgis. But in this case you have an easy go-to with the Eagle. If they view themselves as an extension of the eagle you can call them Talons, or Wings. If they view themselves as subservient like they're a lodge they can be something like 'Old Eagle's Shadow,' or 'Bolts of the Eagle' just because if I recall correctly the ones from Rome had some lightning theme going with them. Second edition usually promotes the idea of totems as equals, so they might consider themselves the 'Convocation of Eagles' where they are all eagles (convocation is a plurality of eagles). But due to their position as the Emperor's guard and being in the palace they might be a Court of Eagles.

    Next pack name needed...

    Uratha Pack - ??? ( ??? )

Blood Talons and Storm Lords werewolves inside Emperor’s guard unit in Great Palace – palace complex that is city into itself. ??? are looking over well-being of the Roman Eagle that is Patron of Empire in Shadow Realm, hovering over Great Palace as Spirit Lord. They are "eagle-bearers" (gr. Ornithóvoras), descendants of the aquilifers of the Roman legions that started Eastern Empire centuries before. ??? are known to support Themisine Protectorate of Pure, ‘for the good of Empire’.

Ideas like 'Emperor's Finest' or 'Children of Eagle' sounds to simply, don't they?

'Ceno-bites' ( ) are interesting name for werewolves pack. 'Cenobites of Lost Truths' sounds as interesting mix and point's they always look for forgotten text in Library, that is often described as 'losing' many of it's scriptures inside it's vast halls.

Grab some appropriate terms. Curators. Cenobite. Sage. Scribe, Scripture. Then tie them to something else, either related to what they do, how they do it, or what they do it from. You can go with a simple, 'the Curators' or 'The Curators of the Seven Scriptures,' since Constantine was big on transcribing the religious works there might be a few things they made sure never made it to mortal eyes but allow for study and maybe can offer some wisdom in time of need. Or perhaps they protected the works that weren't officially transcribed, and they are the Bearers of the Lost Truths, waiting for some folks to ask the right questions. You get the idea, I'm sure.

Resurrecting topic, as I prepare much larger, Constantinopole setting in year 800 AD. I need a name for this pack concept - Bone Shadows watching over Imperial Library of Constantinopole, with help from mages in Keepers of the Word Order. / One of two prequel Orders to Mysterium./ ( As Omphalos / Rosseta Society faction in city. )

I already have Hunter in Darkness pack watching over Hagia Sophia, around it and under it ( Basilica Cistern ) that I think I name Hounds of God - as they HiD are also part of Jeremiad Sworn faction in city.

She and her brother stopped sleeping with each other after the alliance with the Aesir though, as they disapprove of sibling-relationships like that.

But yes. Freyja is insanely cool.
It's a Vanir thing. I actually intended "love" in a non-Lannister sense, since all the versions I read of the Norse myths pointed out the two cared a lot for each other (even when Freyr falls in love with Gerdr), but it's worth mentioning that as well.

Seriously though, gotta love those female characters so badass that all Asgard is afraid to make them angry. Freyja is probably my favorite, but I also like Skadi and Hela for similar reasons.

Eh, depends. Freyja gets half of the worthy souls of those who die in battle, while the other goes to Odin in the Valhalla, She's also connected to the valkyries, as a choser of the slain, though they serve Odin (I read once Odin lends some to Frejya as attendants, but that was ages ago and can't recall the source). Some modern interpretations give Odin the valkyries and Freyja the disir, but that's basically modern people connecting the dots (which is cool and something I do as well when I write mythology fiction, but not supported by much real informations) Depending on the version you're reading, Freyja is either cool with that or mildy annoyed by Odin and the valkyrie's having rights over those who die a warrior's death.

I tend to look at it as if she made peace with the fact, because Odin's the king and everyone knows he's also a fucking magpie when it comes to purviews, powers and that sort of thing.

I'd say that, in a Forsaken context, you can run with that name and not have any issue with it.

I will go with Golden Chain for Uppsala Temple pack name. But when need to use some Bone Shadows and Storm Lords pack - for example for Valkyrie Mot Lodge - I will use Daughters of Freyja as pack name.

Considering she and Frey were brother and sister, loved each other and, she was at the same time a goddess of love, fertility and war, I think there are worse examples of heritage for a pack in this context.

Indeed. When I was a kid I named my pet rabbit after her.
