  • [TC] Aegis Theories

Some wild or just fan crated Theories. We will wait for the Secrets chapter to see if they are correct.

    1. Sky Chariot writing found by first Collages was 'LION' - and it's mean in Classical Greek
    ΛEΩN

    2. Sea People that are pointed as start of Bronze Age Collapse are... falling down Atlantean Empire. 😲

The Society of the Lion took its name from writing found on the Sky Chariot, which they interpreted as meaning “Lion”. Since we're in “Theory territory” here, my theory is that the Sky Chariot came from the distant future: it was a Leviathan belonging to the Aeon Society that misjumped and somehow got thrown far back in time.

The sky chariot is likely an advanced space ship that was traveling inter-dimensionally (across the Continuum) and crashed, spilling its "fuel" as ambrosia. Now, were these people in space suits that the Colleges witnessed around the area from a distant future and human, or an alien species like those from Aether?

If I had to place a bet, I'd wager this ship is from the far future Continuum setting that will come next, one taking place after Aeon (2120) in a distant future with more advanced tech, dimensional travel, and lots of aliens.

I think we got two spaceships, the Sky Chariot and another which became the Tartarus Vault. The ambrosia is a conscious effort (by whatever intelligence remained in the chariot) to empower humanity to deal with whatever is in the Tartarus Vault.

        And the "Seer" is
Maxwell Mercer, right after the Hammersmith Experiment.

I think Tiresias the Seer is genderfluid. Of course this doesn’t rule out them being Max Mercer.

I wasn't talking about him. Check out the Society of the Lion writeup in Preview 2.

We know that Max Mercer was not travelling inside jumpship on Hammersmith Experiment explosion. ( As Hammersmith was manor in 1920s London. ) He could be coming back on it from far future in jumpship, after few first jumps.

I don't think he was inside the jump ship. Maybe the jump ship somehow collided with Mercer being flung through time and space.

The description of the Seer makes me think that Maxwell is still inexperienced at the beginning. He isn't used to this.

Also Divis Mal knew about novas (or something he thinks were novas) in this time period. When Maxwell returned from his first trip 6 months after the Hammersmith Experiment, it was Michael Donighal who took him in and cared for him, and probably learned about his travels through time. Since their relationship became more strained over the years, I am quite certain, that Aegis must have happened at the very beginning.

Well, the writtens we see in 1e about gods, sorcerers and heroes is more about expeculation than properly any form of true knowlege, so Mal is probably unaware of Aegis era of inspiration.

Max probably is not the seer, even less probable a young Max, as we know where Max has been by the Secrets of Adventure! and Ian said Max never went back in time to eras prior Adventure! (as far as we know).

The idea of Tartarus being another ship and the Sky Chariot being trying to help humans is interesting as I see, but I dont think it's solid. The Sky Chariot abrosia (and all the other ambrosia around the world) is doing terrible things too, not trying to help or cause damage people, just random effects. I think Tartarus is probably the drive/motor while the sky chariot is the living quarters. The Motor has the most amazing tech and the highest amount of amazing materials of every vehicle, while the living quarters have the daily use equipment (that is amazing too).

Tiresias being genderfluid is in the description: "lived live as man and woman". If not genderfluid, Tiressias is capable of switching physical sex (what makes genderfluid+).

My theory is that the Ship was destroyed mid time travel and parts fall all over timeline, ambrosia being the Fuel (or the closest thing to fuel) while the crystals from the atlanteans are made from by the impact, not part of the original ship.

I don't think ambrosia is fuel. I think ambrosia are nanobots. In the first weeks there was still some intellect guiding them (when there was liquid ambrosia crawling across the landscape like it was alive, and when it actively pursued some people), later when this intellect degraded they began to mindless change everyone who came in contact with them.

As for "Max went never back in time", well people change their opinions. I am old enough to remember how White Wolf were adamant that they would NEVER publish a book about Gehenna.

I just read the part about the Seer in the Society of the Lion writeup and I agree that could be Max.

I dont mean ambrosia is like gasoline, or super tech gasoline, but something that empowers the ship somehow, like a power source. It may be intelligent and willing to empower people that can be empowered, in my mind it gives the ship (and probably all kinds of super tech) the energy to work, and it happen to change people and animals too, giving them the energy to manifest powers they are not capable of developing without it.

                          3. Prophecy of Aeons - it's a much more fan story seed, but starting seperatę topic for it would be a bit overkill. Beside some references to Aeon Society of future already in Aegis text ( See point 1 of mine previous post 😉 ) and possible known character from previous eras ( see other posts above ) - I think about really just gives repeating, cryptic prophecy for Oracles in game - something about 'Aeons'. I'm not sure what it is about. What is even wording of it now. But it needs to be word 'Aeons' in it. 😎

I found it curious that there's no mention of the Pharaoh's Lightkeepers. I always assumed that this was the era when the secret organization was formed.

In Adventure era they were not known as Lightkeepers, so it’s possible they are there but not yet structured the same way.
