Do you think VTM will ever become mainstream?

As Heavy Arms said, Vampire anime can range from slice-of-life to gritty. So depending on the vampire anime she watches, for example, if it is a comedic slice-of-life, she may not enjoy the content of VTM. Some of the content within the VTM gameline can also make people feel uncomfortable, I myself have felt somewhat uncomfortable when reading through some of the supplements.

My relatives actually got me a ttrpg box for a game I was interested in. I opened it, but like Iguazu, I never played with it.

I would be wary when using Wikipedia. Anybody can go in and write/edit anything they want, when they want. You would probably get more accurate information from Muslim scholars than from Wikipedia....

Hopefully bloodlines 2 is actually good, but its already 2023 and im pretty sure a lot of they hype is gone by now....

When I say mainstream, I mean something most people will know and understand. Many people I have talked to dont seem to have actually heard of VTM, but a few have heard of DND. However, it seems that many who have heard of DND dont seem to actually play it. I have only met a few who actually have played the game.



Very few people, the ones I have spoken with anyway, seem to even know what a TTRPG is, coupled with the fact that not everyone will be able to align their schedules to play a session. Its kind of similar to when you are trying to get a study group together,...

I wouldnt say they dont trust, more like they dont like to depend too much on others. The level 9 sin for scorched heart is "relying on others", with the rationale being "Your actions are the only ones you can predict with certainty."...

I have a hard time believing that something like that will ever happen as most people would rather play video games and may not be willing to sit down and play a TTRPG, even if it is through an online platform. Many people these days don't even know what a TTRPG is.

Surely following a path that focuses on critical thinking and eliminating every emotion you have would turn the elders into monsters almost immune to the manipulations of others....

Path of the scorched heart would have been a great camarlla path since it focuses on critical thinking, keeping a cool head, and leaving no stone unturned. A vampire who cant be emotionally manipulated sounds like quite a dangerous foe, or a very dependable ally....

Im guessing the Sabbat would try to purge paths of enligtenment such as Harmony, Self-Focus, and Scorched Heart, since these paths promote independance and critical thinking, something the sabbat doesent seem to want.

I wouldnt exactly say that its the life sphere. It does have a few similar powers, but then again we could say the same for many of the other vtm powers....

IMO, it would have to be blood magic. I know a lot of people harp about how blood magic is too OP, but honestly, a lot of the paths are pretty boring and seem quite situational.

The pre-revised version of Biothaumathurgy where you could alter life forms, even supernatural ones, was somewhat interesting. Something else that was unique about it was that you weren't just fleshing crafting them, but altering how they functioned, they're makeup, their nature, and their instincts. In the revised form it seems that the writers decided to turn it into more of a Frankenstein path where you...
