Dead Man's Rust includes an alternative system for advancing character levels. Players gain a level increase based on narrative beats by completing either some Major or a series of Minor Quests in order to gain the next level.
However, I can't find a good explanation in the book of what is considered a "Major" or "Minor" Quest....
