So even Sidereals need a Charm to look at the stars and be able to see what planet is in which constellation? If that's what it says, that's crappy.


This is bothering me on a reread of the thread. IIRC they made it so that no accurate information at all can come from the stars without magic mutations, and all astrology is nothing but silly superstitions or squinting at actually invisible things. I hope I'm misunderstanding.

Any human being can look at the stars IRL and see where the constellations, moon, and visible planets are. You don't...

Can you please briefly summarize what the Great Curse is like for Dream-Souled? For that matter, why would they be Cursed since they definitely didn't exist during the Primordial War? It doesn't seem plausible to me for Dream-Souled or Liminals to actually have the Curse (vs. some other White Wolfy drawback).

I have so much headcanon I haven't shared.

1. Most crops and the vast majority of grains grown in Creation are perennial species bred in the First Age. I also have a bunch of specific ideas about cuisine, especially in Lookshy.

2. Many cultures use bronze, arsenical bronze, brass, or stone and can’t smelt iron, but iron tools and weapons are still widespread, though not cheap nor common.

3. The Tarpan Wastes are not a natural desert with a failing Solar Working. There are no natural deserts on the Blessed Isle, instead it was formerly semiarid but fertile...

And do any of the new Exalted (incl. Getimians, Liminals, Architects, Sovereigns of Uluiru, new Infernals) have stated lifespans?

I was not asking for the words of the scriptures, just their names and constellations. I'm confused why this is so hard or has to be so super-secret. This stuff was in the Wiki for 2E and nobody called that a copywrite infringement.

I am absolutely not going to spend $30+ on a 1E splatbook just to find out the Ability that went with each constellation. It isn't reasonable to expect me to do that.

I am just curious about some details. And I was trying to create a horoscope randomizer tool to share with the forum, but I can't do that without even knowing which constellations...

What are their castes/aspects? What martial arts and sorcery can they access? Are their Charms Ability-based, Attribute-based, or something else?

Just what is a Shadow? And what is the deal with Ketu?

Also are there any suggestions for when the apocryphals might have come into being (or been reawakened in the case of Hearteaters)? I was thinking it would make sense for Ketu to become interested in Creation when humanity survived the Balorian Crusade, and start...

I like most of what they did with Infernals, but eliminating all of the deal with the demon and the demon itself is very very sad.
The list of Essence stretch goals calls them "Ochilike" twice....

This is great, thank you! I get the impression that the KS "previews" were actually just entire chapters? I had thought they were in the same format as the Ex3 KS previews.

And I realized another reason I'm reluctant to buy this book, after wanting to buy it months ago: after I got a job I started buying several Exalted books, but I haven't found time to read them all. And I feel silly and greedy continuing to buy books without knowing when I'll get around to reading them.
