This is inspired by Black Fox's excellent write-ups that got me thinking about discussing in-depth some things. I used to WIR's of these supplements but, well, life gets in the way and I was thinking about coming back to discussing the OPP V5 products in light of the larger context of the V5 setting.
I've mentioned elsewhere that I'm not really a fan of Fifth Edition. I'm a fan of OPP's take on Fifth Edition as I think that the initial presentation was more or less a mess until the good people here provided something that was absent from the revived World of Darkness until they released...

[WIR] Let the Streets Run Red (COMPLETE!)
I'm very fond of doing deep dives into Vampire: The Masquerade products and have enjoyed all the WIRs on this forum whether by Grumpy RPG Reviews or myself. It was a choice between doing Cults of the Blood Gods or Let the Streets Run Red. Despite having done some discussion of the latter already, I've decided to do the latter first and hopefully will get around to the former sometime later in the year. I hope my fellow posters will participate in this and we can discuss all the wonderful weird things about this supplement.
I'm looking forward to discussing this book...Last edited by CTPhipps; 09-21-2021, 08:51 PM.

[V5] [WIR] The Chicago Folios - Completed 9/19/2020
Hey folks,
I admit I have been waiting for this for some time. I was an initial backer of CHICAGO BY NIGHT's Kickstarter and it is a major reason that I returned in full force to Vampire: The Masquerade. Beckett's Jyhad Diary had brought me back after a ten year absence but the characters of Chicago are some of my all-time favorites. They're as close to me as Luke Skywalker and Frodo are to other fans.
One of the things I loved about CBN5E's Kickstarter was that it succeeded enough to have two supplement books added to it. As much as I love V5, I have to...Last edited by CTPhipps; 03-03-2021, 11:51 AM.

[WIR] The Gary Chronicles (Forged in Steel, Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust. etc)
Hey folks,
We've just finished our enormous Chicago by Night 5E review and it was one of my most well-appreciated works. We analyzed the characters, changes, and additions to the classic setting of Vampire: The Masquerade 1st Edition updated to the 21st century. It was a six month long project and similar to some RPG.net threads I did on the original Chicago by Night and Los Angeles by Night (before I was banned because I talked about what was in the "What's next on Game of Thrones" thread).
It turns out I'm not completely done with writing reviews...Last edited by CTPhipps; 09-21-2021, 08:58 PM.

[WIR] Chicago by Night 5th Edition
Hey folks,
I'm a huge fan of Chicago by Night 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, the original Baptism by Fire, and most of the subsequent books set in the Rust Belt area. Really, the only books I don't care for are Blood Bond and Diablerie: Mexico which is only nominally set in the Chicago Chronicles anyway.
So, I was really excited about the prospect of a 5th Edition of Chicago by Night. I donated to the Kickstarter and was very pleased to get to read the completed manuscript. I did a re-read of the original CHICAGO BY NIGHT and LA BY NIGHT as well on RPG.net that...Last edited by CTPhipps; 09-21-2021, 08:58 PM.
